This futuristic novel recalls many others: in particular, the excellent novel by William F Nolan who inspired the film (and TV series) "Logan's Run" in 1976. Further still, it is obviously the "Brave New World" that we think: every time a fulfilled humanity in a seemingly democratic ideal, into a unified society, protected from outside (including nature), obsessed with the happiness of all, in monitoring each ... Huxley had already posed the problem: is it better to live happily, even losing freedom (what science promises to do), or is it better to save his liberty at the price happiness? This novel without real originality, but néanmois captivating, provides an answer (response) Interestingly, at a time when globalization and the development of states "police" to protect us from the "hyper-terrorism" we are already planning fully into "Globalia" ...
