However, there was at one or other point criticism and needs. The changes and enhancements to the S 8340 are therefore answers to the criticisms of the S 5 Ecoline. Below I will therefore discuss the S 8340, especially when compared with its predecessor.
The weight has been reduced only slightly from 8.80 to 8.20 Kg.
The volume was reduced from 77 to 75 decibels. Quiet enough for most. Some special suckers are even quieter. But you should not be surprised when the suction in a supermarket with high background noise whisper comes over and then home in the quiet rooms, the best is surprisingly loud even with sealed floors and furniture, of course.
Suction: It is typical of the Ecoline models that they are so absorbent already in the lower to middle levels that you hardly have to make to the maximum, which also contributes to noise reduction. Conclusion: At first glance, the Miele S 8340 is similar to the S5 (apart from the color) still. On closer inspection and closer information it is clear that criticism and adopted many sensible improvements were realized, even when cutting back on Gehäusesolidität were made in favor of the price. Negative criticism:

Addendum: mobility of the floor nozzle
