Beautiful collection of mature Flaubert (published in 1877), but the "Three Tales" are unequal, and I find that we lose the social and real power that could be available in "sentimental education".

-In "A Simple Heart" writing is beautiful and the story is magnificent in its simplicity, however we remain a little hungry at the time of the fall.

-For "The Legend of Saint Julian the Hospitaller" is Excellent! The best of the three tales, the story of a "fierce heart" that will become a Saint.

- "Herodias" was a bit tedious (too bombastic style) and a little mess, the images are beautiful so beautiful that is lost in the descriptions and the course of history suffers greatly.
