For a timer, the structure is, however, quite solid, thanks to the metal housing. The lateral scale is not about numbers of degrees, but minutes - in rather large intervals of 15 minutes, without any intermediate lines.
The benefit of the device is very limited in my eyes. First of all you have to have a camera that meets the necessary requirements: programming tripod mount directly beneath the lens and possibility of interval or time-lapse photography. My Olympus PEN E-PL7 qualifies and is not too heavy. But then inevitably raises the question of where and how to use the device now? I did first time on a mountain a 180 ° recording series. That is already a little boring, because it is the nature of this equipment, that it takes 30 minutes. A 360 ° recording would be indeed tempting yet, but this must be the camera + tripod stand for an hour somewhere, and should not be all too far away from her.
In principle I find the idea of a pan head self-propelled not bad. But to provide such a movement with an unmodified one minute minder, I think is a bad approach. As I have now seen, there are devices with electric drive. Although the are a bit more expensive, but the speed can be regulated with them. One hour for 360 ° is simply too long to me.
Nevertheless, the workmanship is good and the ticking fairly quiet. But can convince me this gimmick really not unfortunately.
