Operation via the menu system is very easy, but the operation on the underwater housing is not completely possible. Since the Dazzne is better designed, they can be operated via the buttons on the housing completely.
For the S30, there is a balance in the app for Android smartphone (here the LG G2). This can be easily downloaded over the PlayStore when connecting mobile app and you have to just be aware that you only connect via the menu of the smartphone in the WiFi settings, and only then opens the app. The app does not connect by itself to the S30.
If the connection is established, the operator works with the app properly. The videos are not stored on the phone, but must separately be dubbed. For viewing on the Smartphone will still need the VLC player, also in the App Store available, to be installed.
The camera records only in .mov format.
Super Slow Motion with 120 FPS is available in VGA resolution, but you should shoot but only outside in daylight, and there must not expect too much, after all, this brings the S30 but with.
For the waterproof case, I would still like to see a better lens, and a sound recording is virtually no place in the housing.
A semi-open housing is included with the delivery, but the screen is obscured behind, you can then just check with the app what you're shooting straight. And the mounting of this casing is also something pfrimmelig, there is room for improvement. After all, it is a case but this. The picture quality itself is thus better than the water-resistant housing, but this is also no art.
The best pictures are in daylight, but at night even in low light, you can still get good results if you just want to film normal scenes.
Operation is simple and almost self-explanatory. Who has ever handled by a digital camera, and some idea of photography has, will find immediately familiar. I particularly like the display well. The colors are good, the numbers shown can be seen well. For duration draufschauen such a small screen is obviously not suitable, but it is more than sufficient to align the camera. In various other Action Cams as a display I've always been missing. That makes here already really a huge difference.
Here only briefly the pros and cons (if one can call these disadvantages in the purchase price must be the church in the village):
+ Neat complete package
+ Very good image quality
+ Very easy operation
+/- Battery life only about an hour
-no sound recording in the underwater housing
-no Time-Lapse
do not include SD card included -only a battery case,
-no GPS
-no Image Stabilizer
Conclusion: Those who simply look for an Action-Cam, and not too special demands, can access safely here. I like a direct comparison shows Dazzne somewhat better because the equipment package is truly comprehensive. In addition, the image quality of the color her a little better when Dazzne. Otherwise, however, you get a flawless Action Cam, which is really tiny, and a good image quality. From me there is therefore a clear recommendation for the S30.
