Have at least externally identical predecessors (?) Model KC9006 (in black instead of red-orange) [and previously its predecessor with built-in battery] in use for years. The device is handy, robust, cheap and has the advantage that it does not require an expensive instrument-specific battery. The device works with 4 standard 1.5 V AA batteries. Those are not empty by self-discharge when they are needed and times are in full Bedarfssfall usually be found somewhere in the budget in balance. I use instead of batteries for some time ENERGY MIGNON NiZn BATTERY 1.6V, 4ER branded Conrad Energy (special charger necessary). They have significantly more power than the usual 1.2 V NiMH batteries. Speed is however not adjustable or adjustable, for drilling the machine lack high speed is also only a limited, but is possible with a corresponding chuck. The screwdriver head is locked, thus can attract more tightly than with motor. I (both hands, full speed ahead) managed to now, however, by force, damaging them mechanics, which is why I now need replacement. :-( The unit is also available as "Black & Decker A7071 battery pen screwdriver set 54-piece" (the black model) in a suitcase with accessory brackets.
