To "close" and broken USB Adapter

Was looking for a power adapter for Japan, and wanted to take this one, there are not many with Japan electricity is apparently.
It comes in a nice little bag for safe storage.
Also it is easy to use and offers many regional settings, but is still quite compact.

BUT:
The USB adapter was no longer functioning already in the supply.
And some larger plugs fit hard with effort, or not at all (safety plug) into the device.
Before I "stuff" to forcibly trying plug in the adapter, I have sent him back.

For small charger cable such as cell phone or camera it is to use well.
But for power strips or hair dryer's there is something hakelig or fits not at first.
