2. To use this you must have perforelieuse spiral type bindings. After receiving the machine I found that it was delivered without any binding (not even as a sample, which is rather shabby) and so I ordered a pack of 100 plastic bindings 10mm (price: 6 6 euros), allowing, according to information provided on the device, connect 60 sheets. Of course there are other dimensions to connect more (or less) leaves.
3. The presentation of the product boasts a "Quickstep guide for simple and intuitive use." It is true that employment is simple but the manual or guide seems improvable. For all practical purposes (video presentation of fault of operation on the site) here I specify aspects of this device that I did not understand at first.
3.1 To punch A4 sheets must be introduced the long side into the slot holding the short side on the gray stopper on the left input tray. Thus, when the leaves reach the end of travel in the slot and rest against the gray stop by the small side, they are perfectly positioned to that the tabs are in the same place.
For A3 sheets must introduce the short side in the slot and, of course, support the long side against the gray stopper.
3.2 Each ring binding (called comb in the manual) is elastic and can be opened by presenting a tip end which is inserted in one of perforations 21 leaves.
To open the device rings includes:
21 fixed vertical pins at the back which is available binding, and
a sliding plate under the control of the small lever to the right of the unit. The plate ends with 21 horizontal dots. Each of these is associated with one vertical pin and has a length about half the vertical interval between two pins.
In the interval left free between the end of a horizontal pin and the vertical pin to its right is introduced a ring binding and the latter is slid to the left so that each horizontal pin is in a ring.
When the lever is operated horizontal push pins, to open the rings because each ring is retained in contrast with 1 fixed vertical pin.
3.3 When all punched sheets and pointed ends of the rings inserted in the holes, the lever is pushed back, which closes the rings and performs the binding.
4. The use of this perforelieur presents no difficulty. My first use was to connect 30 A4 sheets to form a book. To punch 10 sheets it takes a little force to the central controller, but if we are content to 5 sheets at a time the effort is negligible.
Then, as I later received a lot of transparent sheets forming coverage, I had to separate the sheets of the comb and install (after perforation) these hedges, then again, connect the whole. This new set is presented properly, although this is the first time I use this type of instrument.
If you often do not empty the confetti tray effort to exercise to punch may be more important.
As this tray dump operation should be frequent it should be easy. But at least for the device that was delivered, it is not quite the case, as I have to force to extract the tray. Not to be dependent on this machine defect I do not block the drawer after reattached.
Furthermore I believe that the choice of this tray material is not optimal because the static electricity keeps part confetti against the walls, which is not really a problem but slightly complicates emptying.
In conclusion this gives me perforelieur overall satisfaction despite its imperfections.
