There are two months I gave this book to a friend who wanted to give to the English but could not delve into a method of upgrading. This bothered him systematically. She had already tried to read one or two novels in English but read by consulting the dictionary every two lines quickly dulled his interest and concentration. Stumbled on this series "Harraps you can" in a bookstore, I immediately thought of her and chose this MHC (MHC I love almost everything!). Bingo, she loved it ..... It is indeed very easy if one comes up against a sentence where a word since all that is likely to cause problems lies directly in the margin opposite the word or phrase, no need to look. To the eye, it is automatic and it seems extremely comfortable, you do not lose the thread of the action. The fact that there is a story and it is really captivating makes attractive reading. And my friend told me that by the end of the book, she had learned so much vocabulary passively or turnings she looked very few in the margin. Yet she had started slowly because she looked translations almost all lines, so sacred progress. So as she loved it, I bought it the second MHC in this series, then I think she should be able to spend at least for MHC translation of books, then when the author changes, sometimes you s get used to a new style. What there is of good with the MHC style is that it is a good classic and current American, or slang or trivial or smoky or twisted without being either basic, the plots are well-crafted, interesting characters, rich descriptions, is why I think it is an author well suited for a range of an educational nature. Some do it the same criticism as Agatha Christie, having systematically to see part of affluent rich environments, and always finish well, so what? It is exactly a good way to soothe the soul and forget the realities around us often claims or challenges of everyday life.
