To work and play just awesome ...

I absolutely loved the monitor now for about 2 weeks and am. From a "purple" Stitch is at absolutely nothing to see, I think the monitor also relatively stable viewing angle. Clouding occurs only very marginal, which is for a 34 inch curved I think currently reverence. In the ground it is ever easy only when completely darkened room on all sides perceptible. Me it does not bother.

Compared to 28 inch 4K (3840x2160) screen Samsung U28D590D:

I had first bought this screen. From the resolution of this is with 4k absolutely gorgeous. The difference in sharpness in Verleich to WHQD is again neatly .. However have Windows (also 8.1) and other programs still have problems with the representation, writings are often much too small. However, this can often get with a bit of effort to some extent under control. To play the monitor was also adapted (via DisplayPort GTX 970), especially since one because of 16 to 9 format relatively easy could go down with the resolution. 4K Gaming is reasonably possible currently only with SLI even a GTX 980 is sufficient since often not enough. I have returned the monitor because I umbedingt NVIDIA G-Sync, wanted to have 3D and 144 Hz at this time. So I then bought the considerably more expensive Asus ROG PG278Q 68.6 cm.

This Gaming Monitor stands out due to its fast response time, the NVIDIA G Sync Module (available only with newer NVIDIA graphics card) and its 144 Hertz.
After I switched from Samsung 4K monitor on the Asus, I first had, as already mentioned briefly above, notice that 4K (27 to 28 inches) already has a considerable difference to WHQD in this monitor sizes. The image on the desktop is therefore being sufficiently sharp (compared with standard FULL HD monitors very spicy), compared to 4K but sobering. Moreover, since he only has a TN panel, the colors and the viewing-angle dependence must be evaluated as negative. However, this is all still in good area, so that you can live well (if one was used no 4k screen). For writings are a good size and Wndows is quite good with the resolution clearly, even if there is still room for improvement there.
Very disappointed I was, however, of the gaming properties. The 144 Hertz are almost indistinguishable from 60 Hertz, the 4. In RPGs like Dragon Age Inquisition then nothing at all is even with absolutely hectic games like Titan case COD Advanced Warfare or Battlefield determine. G Sync, however, offers an equivalent because just acting elaborate games in frame rates between 30 and 60 frames of liquid and round are playable. However, it must be said that the difference at a reasonable 60 Hertz monitor low Raktionszeit and V Sync keeps very limited. In addition, with Freesync (AMD) soon a standard DisplayPort 1.2a in the field of adaptive sync. created so that G Sync the additional costs is definitely not worth it. Remains to be seen whether NVIDIA then buckles and support it.
However, the monitor had a much greater disadvantage. He tends to form vertical stripes with fast movements, even in the desktop area with quick scrolling. There are plenty of forums where owners talking about the same problems. I had had to exchange the monitor with the On-site service by Asus and had exactly the same problems with the second. Absolutely unacceptable !!

So I have then given the Samsung S34E790C a chance, which is however again a bit more expensive.
This is the desktop area very pleasant and, thanks to VA Panel also bold colors. The focus is of course lower than the 4K monitor Samsung U28D590D, but still quite good. The 21 to 9 curved design is absolutely stunning and perfect for gaming.
Even with fast-paced games such as titanium case or COD no streaking !!! The only disadvantage. You have to play by the format's native resolution, that is, a GTX 970 is minimum. Incidentally, I miss the G Sync also not a bit. So I'll keep the screen now only times ..
