I made photos at the Heidelberg half marathon (like every year). So far, there were among others recently Sony SLT55 / A77 Olympus OMD EM5 used. Asked simply to scene program "Sport" - - With the Sony RX10 I had been the highest hit rate (runners to the camera). Goods else only 1-2 images in the RNZ 2015 were even adopted three of the newspaper this time! This means a lot to me. The AF is thus fast enough for sports photography (also thanks to the 2.8 at the telephoto end).
I have it against the FZ1000 gesteste and decided for the RX10 on the following grounds:
- Much nicer look and feel and a bit smaller. The camera just looks class from which FZ1000 is a contrast, a "plastic bomber"
- Much better menu control (but I know the Sony menu already thanks to my always with RX100 III, ie subjective)
- Slightly better Bidqualität and throughout 2.8
- No trickery in 24mmm wide angle (s.mein uploaded to FZ1000 and my assessment of the FZ1000)
- 24mm AUH at video available (4K videos of FZ1000 go until 38mm because of trickery so)
- The 4K video of FZ1000 generated with me "flash / restlessness" at the edges (moire) So for me is not really usable (despite 4K2K monitor and highend desktop)
- I'm more of a fan than Wide Tele fan and clear of push Sony compensates for the occasionally missing mm at the end quite well.
But also about the good FZ1000 I was very happy, but it has led to a collapse of the RX 10.
What I vemisse on the RX10 what the FZ can better? Actually, only the AF but faster (especially in low light.)
At first I thought the viewfinder 2.4 MP of FZ1000 will impress me, but in practice the Unerschieden are not so serious.
In sum for me: 4 stars for FZ1000 and 5 for the Sony RX 10
