The most has been yes in fact already written, but I want to again evaluate some of the information given here, in my view and I am truly been forced to "expert" in the field after reading some equipment had perforce in a very short time in operation.
* Granted, not quite optimal, the operating instructions are written. There actually is no indication at the right configuration of the recorder in combination with a Satellite Receiver (AV channel), which can cause confusion in the basic settings first. But as consolation: All operating manuals for other devices had also not listed on commissioning with satellite receiver the instructions.
* The volume is in use in my opinion, with the rank and - as it was at any rate me - falls after a short time no longer really on.
* Daily and weekly recordings go, contrary to other statements made here, in any case with ShowView. Alternatively, the timer list can (with / without VPS) fill according to what I präferiere personally anyway.
* The tape display can be displayed during playback, and also contrary to other statements made here, there are very well-indexing, "Memory Stop" called.
* An absolute plus is the OPR function that allows a current cartridge in its playback bildzuoptimieren, according to need either a "soft focus", or sharpness. Older, or recorded with other devices cassettes can thus be considerably improved in the image quality. OPR is only for playing and no default for recordings. The owner's manual is unfortunately drafted a little misleading.
* Another plus, and not, of course, a "Video Doctor", ie, inter alia, self-diagnosis function of the condition of the video heads.
* To date, not yet mentioned: On [...] there is a comprehensive service pool and LG offers in device problems, a hotline for 14 cent / min. Very decent, because I know from my ITT also different: company without fixed line (in any case not be published), but a hotline for proud 99 cents / min.
On the self-evident how image quality and some minor additional tools I go here not on. A little "discovery" is also still indulged other buyers.
All in all 5 stars for a device that met in any case my expectations 100%. Pity pure VCR as the LG LV 4787 will be extinct probably soon, because currently allows only the analog tape long-term archive and better digitize z. B. via PC over again and, technically developmental. In addition, since the HD-DVD format dispute vs. Blu-ray is not yet decided and good DVD HDD recorders still have a handsome price, stay at least for the time being I in the VHS cassette.
