A common problem with all the keys the connector is retractable, the key may be too big to access the socket of the PC if it is a little behind or too close to other connectors (frequent on laptops). On my Thinkpad, it is unusable out the USB 3.0 ports and only fits into a 2.0 port, where its speed is no longer interested.
