Previously I had a cheaper Philips steam iron, which was half the price and has to my mind at least as well ironed. I Bügle mainly blouses and shirts at level 2. Never to level 1 (because there are no irons in standard steam) and stage 3 I need rarest, therefore I sort anyway no underwear ;-) The advantage of being able to iron anything with a setting I do not see so: Philips himself writes that this works with low temperature and for a lot of steam. That means I have no way times to iron slightly higher temperature in reverse. For a good result you need maximum steam of three settings (no steam, eco, max). Since the tank is then quickly empty. The have already written other, I did not think that it annoys me so.
The slightly higher weight did not bother me.
The heating takes much longer than in my old model.
Conclusion: The high price is not justified in my opinion. I do not know what an iron used for the super reviews beforehand, ironing performance and sliding performance are no better than with my old irons. In this case, I have a feeling this is more a marketing gimmick than a high-tech product for a much too high a price. I would not buy this again iron.
