After I used the small Samsung Go Mic USB successfully, I bought the big brother Samson Meteor Mic USB for currently 55 euros. After 2 days of testing I'm thrilled.
Pro:
+ Sound very good for the price
+ Portable
+ Real 25mm Mic Capsule (the competition says large diaphragm or Studio Mic, but installed 14-20mm mic capsules!)
+ Nice retro design
+ Capsule creates 20cm / 50cm / 90cm away clean and well
+ Monitor system via internal headphone port is good
+ Clipping indicator (LED lights up red)
+ Tripod Mount bottom of the mic
+ Uptake from 45 degree angle side works well (distance 60-70cm). Have 2er interview so done!
+ No drivers needed in Win 8.1 (immediately ran without problems)
Neutral:
Adjust * level in Windows in the Mic properties "Warning: 100% could well override.
Negatives:
- No points! One should be realistic ... for currently 55 euros street price!
- At 119 Euro RRP I had 1-2 criticisms, but at 55 euros street price I have not!
Tips:
* Skype and telephony:
Samson has a partner-company software, which combines a variety of functions.
These are .... recorder .... 10 band EQ ..... Noise / Echo Cancelling ... VU meter (input / output) etc.
The price of 4 US dollars is low.

* Latency:
Directly on the computer, the USB Micro has a height slightly latency. ASIO driver / recording (eg ASIO4ALL) reduces the latency to approximately 20-25ms! Better (more expensive) is only possible with external USB mixer and + 48V XLR mics.
* Popp protection and acoustic mat:
A pop filter is highly advisable and costs here on Amazon 8,99 Euro. A piece of acoustic foam
geklebbt on cardboard and placed behind the microphone ..... dampen reflections.
* Level adjustment:
When shooting with free tools like Audacity WaveOsaur or the level in Windows must be set.
In audio mixers> Recorders> USB Mic> Properties> level -> is displayed depending on the Windows level in% and micro-reinforcement. Windows level can stand on 76-80%, but Micro-reinforcement should not exceed +12 dB ... if there is clipping or sounds bad .... put it back on.
