Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt have unplugged the amps and offers us a sacred wafer entirely acoustic. Their main hits are fully reworked and deliver the Quo us with a completely new approach. Their titles are gaining weight and are much more melodious. I can not list them all because it goes from "Pictures of Matchstick Men" to songs much more recent but I'd like you review some of which were mega tubes and acoustics have made beautiful. These pieces are known to all and have a different dimension in my humble opinion even more beautiful. Boogie rock rhythm that is their trademark is obviously still present. "Paper Plane" loses some potential being but the melody appears more. Excellent !!!! "Caroline" loses none of its luster, boogie is still valid and the result is great. "Softer Ride" is a song that I like is absolutely masterful. "Down Down" is still excellent despite the absence of electric guitars. "Again and Again" became virtually the good old Rockabilly. Finally "Whatever You Want" in acoustic version is a joy to listen to. As I said I will only speak about some songs but title like "What You're Proposing" or "Rain" are also really great. To summarize this album gives a real freshness to their songs and "Aquostic" is a marvel !!! Total success. A course listen to the band's fans but also for lovers of boogie rock, rock and roll, hard rock etc ... Status Quo of the great, albeit a little unexpected but oh so fantastic !!!! Adanson Marco.
