Now about the device itself.

Heat problem:
One thing first, it's really one of the best devices I've kept in n recent weeks and months in the hands.
I ordered the 32GB version three times. One for my son and one for my brother.

As always I was able to set up all 3 device once. I've noticed that a device was extremely hot during the first few hours when you set up. The much reported display control up to 70% due to heat occurred at me.

Funnily enough, did not occur this problem in the other 2 devices on (both 32GB version). I myself did not believe in a hardware problem and made me so my thoughts why only one device was so extremely hot.
After a few pictures with the camera, the device was extremely hot again under load. After that, the unit repeatedly hung on in the camera app. Especially if you wanted to jump directly from the camera menu in the Preview Gallery.
This error could be reproduced repeatedly. Luckily, you can take out the battery in the device and a restart was not a problem.

I feel like it noticed that I had inserted card in the device with the heat problem a 64GB SD. The SD card was in there previously with a Samsung S5. I have the SD card on a trial basis rausgenommen times and the camera app has been running for the absolute smoothness and has not even hung up since.

Of course, the device is under load discreetly Handwarm but since then the SD card is out, the unit is no longer hot, and runs smoothly. The camera app is stable.

I just suspect that access has caused to the SD card the heat problem. At least I had the good fortune that I was allowed to successively set up 3 units and with a little luck could watch the heat development with the SD card.

Perhaps more indicative of future owners of the LG G3. I have in almost every room at home a brand charger.
Have time on Amazon many original Samsung Chargers bought also my LG G3 charged with it.
Again, the device is extremely hot. With hot I mean really hot and not warm. On my desk I charge the device with the original charger. Here I realized that when loading the original LG charger, the device does not heat up. Should normally be no difference, but these are my observations. Also it loads so much faster.

Camera and camera software

The camera is as good as in the S5 roughly. I do not know if the LG G3 with the Laser Focus really even faster trigger as the S5. But when it becomes a little darker, but the LG G3 delivers better images than as the S5 or the Sony Z2.
Special in the macro range makes the LG G3 sensationally beautiful and sharp photos. Probably attacks here in close range, the laser measuring better through. Even if you zoom the images on the computer or TV, so you have a little less than Pixelbrei wei at S5. (Since I attach great importance to a good camera, I also have the Lumia 930 put on me last week. But unfortunately, the camera is the LUMIA currently at least really disappointing. Now the camera software.
This is only rudimentarily furnished and is probably still the largest construction site of LG. What annoys me personally something and is actually incredible is the fact that you can not select the Image Gallery several pictures at once or also delete. Battery:

Unlike the G2 runtime is of course up to 30-50% shorter. After the whole set-up, - and game phase you realize quickly that the duration but not yet so bad. I even think it is a bit better than how the S5. Here, currently the Z2 points. Of particular note is that the LG G3 during standby mode uses almost no power. When it can be 4-5 hours time in the office, it has lost battery power just 1-2%. This is really top. And I'm always WLAN, GPS, BT. In my 4 email accounts also be updated via push.
After 3-4 days, the battery levels off and you get definitely well throughout the day through. (Time with me the day from 8:00 clock in the morning until about 20 clock.) Again, in my opinion, the Lumia 930 was disappointing. Unfortunately, I have the Lumia 930 repeatedly mention because I have it At length as the main unit or actually wanted to keep. But here you have to be fair, wait a few updates.

Display

The display is just as good as the G2. However, if the term of the G3 not be as sensational as like the G2 only because of the screen, then you could safely dispense with the qHD display. I myself can remember no difference. When Sample Video of LG one sees the images extremely sharp but that was as well.

As already mentioned, I have established a total of 3 LG G3 and all appliances were top handles. No crunch and creak on the housing. Lid can be injected super clean and not budge.

Accessories

Headphones I use even less frequently, but have times set up short and made a good impression. Also the sound is

Sound

The sound from the speaker is absolutely enough, loud and, above all, at max. Not tinny volume. It's just not a HTC device but in my opinion better than the Samsung S5 and louder as the Z2.

CONCLUSION

After the problem has placed with the extreme heat, I'll keep the device.
Since I have the 32GB version, I will renounce to an update to a SD card. My brother and son can appear to be happy.
The camera is very good for a smartphone (though no frills), battery is interchangeable and keeps very well throughout the day through. The reception and especially the acoustics of the phone is very good.
Acoustics is just as good as in my previous BlackBerry Z30. And the Z30 was and is very good in this discipline.
All in one will now be my daily companion to a Neuvorstellung other top smartphones, the G3.

The build quality is as good as the S5 and Lumia 930. In addition to the L930, the G3 is but clearly the more stylish smartphone. The Samsung S5 all bling bling I had disturbed repeatedly by the chrome frame.

The G3 is currently without a SW update good to use and no major shortcomings. As a SW is nachgeschoben soon and many minor bugs will be ironed out, I think that the G3 5 star deserves.

Firmware update on 07/22/2014
Just a firmware update by referring to battery optimization is distributed by LG. Did it plan already and will report in the next few days if something noteworthy has changed.

Update 07/23/2014
The latest firmware update was distributed to only one reference to "battery optimized". In fact, I can now report to about 24, that the battery performance, particularly when the device is in use, has risen markedly. (About 15%, I would say)
The power in stand-by mode was very good even before the update. The heat generated under load has become noticeably less but still exists. But my new Lumia 930 was very warm during operation and felt uncomfortable.
After the update I can say that all the three LG G3 devices located with us in the family, is no more or less hot than a S5 or other top smartphone. (The more than 1 year old Samsung S4 is under load much warmer)
Another positive aspect is also to be noted that after the update, the display no longer automatically dims down. Is also a sign that the device does not overheat.

There are also overall stability, - have been resolved and performance issues. I myself and my family if we just use an Android device, always the NOVA Launcher on it. The Nova Launcher I have no stuttering or other performance can absolutely observe losses even before the update. Although the story is very subjective exercise with the stuttering, I myself am in the point and very sensitive.

It should be noted that this action of LG was probably more of a Notupdate. I guess there are still some be pushed in the coming weeks.
Although many have already been sent your LG G3 mainly due to the heat problem back, so I can at least be said of my 3 devices that this issue has been resolved as far as possible and it soothes can purchase a G3.

The shutdown, - problem to have been resolved even with the last update. For me it came in a week to only once and I thought nothing of it. Just recently I found out that yet more users had much more often afflicted with the bug. If I notice more things in the next few days, so I will continue to report.

2. Firmware Update from LG:

a few days ago came as a surprise now a 2nd update from LG. The battery life has felt again improved somewhat. Other changes I did not notice.
Unfortunately, I've noticed. that in certain circumstances the rear top left of the LG logo crunches. Since it does not always occur, I guess that it is temperature dependent. If the back is a little warmer, it starts to creak.
Or it shows already after 3-4 weeks already first material fatigue, - Erscheidungen. This would be a real shame. I also already few times fell down the device. Once out of about 1.2m on the sidewalk and out of a dent on the corner of the unit has surprised the involuntary fall survived.

Meanwhile, some apps are again supported by the G3. Initially, the Amazon App for example, was not installed. Also some games and applications not yet run. I guess the high resolution is not yet supported.

Update after a total loss ;-)

My son has really managed it this time after only 3 weeks to destroy his smartphone. Him the unit stopped working when a roller coaster of about 15 meters on the stone floor. When it was found, it was still remarkably well preserved. The display glass and housing saw course
rather worse for wear, but it worked even though limited.
However, what has really surprised me, the fact is that I on the Internet for 149, - + Cover frame could acquire + Display + Display Glass a new original LG. I think it is really commendable from LG that a device can be really repaired so easy and relatively cheap.

With an ordinary small screwdriver The device can be even without instructions Youtube easily take apart and within max. 15 minutes installed the parts again. Really Ideotensicher, glued nothing, no Torx screws, all very easy.
After changing everything is brand new again. The frame display everything again, and as fresh out of the box. In this sense, many many other manufacturers can take an example. Really very big compliment to LG that the unit is so well designed for a possible future repair.

If one has not just 2 left hands I am convinced that the repair of 90% of the owner can be made even. The individual components, such as camera, micro or speaker individually to acquire for few euros and can be easily replaced.

Update after 3 SW update. 23..08.2014

While some argue that the 3 SW updates in a relatively short time is a sign of an unfinished product, but as a principle you should now note that never SW is delivered ready. It is also never finished or 100% error free. The same should not Gelden for hardware, of course. ;-)
Therefore, I am personally pleased that LG logs regularly and FW coasting.

After the 3rd update, I would argue that the device is still running a tick liquid. The heat generation is as good as no longer an issue. A S5 or M8 is similar when using warm. Battery performance is slightly increased again after 3 SW update. I put on my device in the morning at 6.00 clock from the charger
and evening by 21 clock I have about 15-20%. I have about 2 to 2.5 hours Screen Time. I telephone relatively little but use quite a lot of WA. It comes so slowly G2 Feeling on ;-) My Samsung S5 has persevered much less. Here I use generally no power saving modes of the device.
I've knitted over TASKER some more or less meaningful for me profiles and think that tickles too few hours of standby from the unit out.

But what bothers me is the fact that now grinds the back cover of the device by pressing on the LG logo (top right of the logo) and creaks. If the device is a bit warmer, this effect is larger and especially loud. I use the device without any cases or display films. For me it is still a daily life, - commodity and not a sanctuary. But only because of the creaking noises at the cover, I will soon be an original Circle Case Cover buy me. To be fair, I must say here that no squeaking noises you are at the other 2 units are in the family to hear.
