First, the image quality is hair-raising. It is a 24 megapixel. And I can tell you that every pixel counts! Even cropping, the image is always very clean. The level of detail is incredibly high. Nothing like a compact or a Smartphone, incapable of displaying a clear image 20 Mpix. Thank you big APS-C sensor!
The rise in ISO is very good. The unit is usable eyes closed until 3200 ISO. But I will use that commonly up to ISO 6400 with very good results (my ISO Auto is set from 100 to 6400). In addition, this is more for troubleshooting. The ISO 25600 can be used only marginally ...
I am the User in RAW + JPEG for security, but in general, JPEG housing suits me. It handles well admirably low lights and against the light. RAW serves me for difficult light (balance of delicate white, very strong against the light).
Lergonomie is good, customizable to the extreme. The number of features is impressive. It takes time to master them all. But the main functions are easily accessible through the Fn key. This is not a beginner's camera, but a beginner can very well serve sen and easily exploit many possibilities thanks to iAuto + mode. This mode alone decides when to HDR, the superposition of pictures in low light, etc.
The viewfinder is useful in bright sunlight, and to aim with manual lenses (i an old Minolta MD 135mm). The definition could be better, but it is sufficient to make a precise focus.
Rear screen is good, nothing more. Definition unremarkable. For this price, do not expect the screen dun dun iPhone or Samsung Galaxy!
Autofocus is super fast in the correct light conditions. Burst mode is so fast that it requires learning to be mastered. It is dailleurs too fast for me, generating an incredible amount of pictures in a short time. Thats why jOperation slower gusts (mid or low). Indoors, under normal artificial lighting, autofocus remains fast. You really have the conditions are bad (low light) that IAF is wanting. For example, I was able to do street photography at night without being bothered by IAF and freehand, of course!
However, I note some shortcomings to this unit. First, the starting time (change from on to off) is a little long. I have not measured, but it's long enough to be remarkable. This may just make you miss the right time! By cons, once the power on, the trip time is almost instantaneous.
On the other hand, the battery will be empty soon, especially with the small 16-50 power zoom. In video, this is worse.
Finally, I find the range LENS wobbly. It is very well provided up to 50 mm. The small 16-50 is very good for the price and compactness. The 50mm f / 1.8 is amazing for the price. The 24 mm f / 1.8 is excellent but overpriced! Beyond 55 mm, there are only zooms that open max to F / 4 (to my knowledge and early 2015). We are still waiting a 85mm f / 1.8 for tight portraits with beautiful background blur, and zoom transstandard f2.8 - 4 EF lenses designed for 24x36 are fully compatible with the A6000. But these optics are bulkier than the optical E designed for APS-C format of the A6000. And Sony sappuie lot about Zeiss, and the fact pay dearly. In this regard, the competitors offer a much more consistent doptiques park (Fuji, Olympus, Panasonic,), and cheaper.
Fortunately, can be grafted on the A6000 just about any imaginable optical, price, often, loss of autofocus. I already mentioned my Minolta 135 mm. It gives me amazing images with, it is true, sometimes a flare phenomenon. The price of the 135 mm f / 3.5? 17 including shipping!
In the end, I put 5 stars because the price is really ridiculous for a device that offers so many possibilities for this quality.
