Since my old LG 32 HD-Ready TV but seemed a bit antiquated, matured early November with me on the idea until Christmas but a new device to purchase. In my environment because now stand around some 50 television, this was the size I had targeted.
The aim was to buy a Christmas bargain between 500 and 600 euros a decent quality unit.
3D would be nice, but not mandatory. Then rather a good normal TV.
When searching my eyes but then quickly fell to these 55 television and even though I was often on the verge to appoint another TV, I let it always be, because me price plus the numerous good reviews in this Grundig device somehow have strongly tied :)
Should bear in mind what extent has such a device Anyone who is considering to buy a 55 televisions in my opinion is quite accurate. This is still a considerable difference to 50 devices.
I have often taken nen ruler, then ne corresponding cardboard cut into the size and cope am again driven to the conclusion in the specialist trade to better carry me the dimensions in mind.
My girlfriend still did not mean that your living room consists only of nem TV and everything else goes down.
Furthermore, I can recommend everyone to take a close look, what really constitutes a potential TV for their own 4 walls.
Since I have compared almost two months the TV you (unfortunately) say that the equipment but are often very different.
Connections are very sparse with some other devices, so you may still would have to purchase additional adapters / hubs etc.
Also, it may be worth a little about the various 3D technologies to inform, since there is also huge differences here (well priced). More on this later.
Triple tuner are apparently not yet standard everywhere, nor an energy-saving energy efficiency class.
Finally, and quite banal: Who buys a 55 TV and do not let him deliver Amazon, is should also consider whether it can transport it in the car ever ....
2. Structure / Initial
The structure is not a problem for two. Within 5 minutes is the device and can be switched on.
I would, however, really to the unit with 2 people recommend to build, as it weighs just about 35 kg, and is also very bulky, as can be seen from the dimensions yes.

The first operation runs as easy. You select the desired reception mode, and the TV is looking in roughly 15 minutes all theoretically available programs purely.
3. Optics
Especially in the lower price segment will see the feet of TVs already happy after that, the TV just comes from this price range.
With this device, the foot of valuable and robust looks, the frame of the TV is decent and the power LED does not fall unpleasant.
The remote control does not look 0815, but is adapted to the design of the TV (silver / black)
Unfortunately the TV is actually wrong. This is really very strange that you do not leave here come up with something. I have left under the foot just packed one or two coasters, to compensate for the imbalance somewhat.
One should especially take care, that first attracts all connected cables through the bracket in the center and the connected cables are laid loose and not too tight, since the TV otherwise additionally a little further tilts.

4. Operation

The SD-quality in my opinion is better than I expected. Here you can watch wonderful the normal TV program without the eyes to feel offended. However, I personally noticed that the more often you look at Blu-Ray used to FullHD / quality on this TV, the worse happens a the SD picture. But in my opinion is really very good. Because I always look slightly normal TV program, this is for me but anyway not so important.
But who expected that with this input signal you just get a razor sharp, great picture, will probably be disappointed here also in higher price ranges and should think more to invest in HD programming.
With Full HD TV of trumps for the first time properly (sorry for the slang) FAT. The image is razor sharp and every blockbuster is right (again sorry) DERBE over. Here comes to real cinema feeling.
I'm already wondering about to buy me a popcorn machine, I actually eat popcorn at the movies and only now this very theater feel on the couch at home have)))
But you should be aware that normal MPEG / AVI files then just look already strikingly worse with lower resolution than on a small TV.

When it comes to 3D television trumps for the second time properly. The picture seems to me better than the Full HD Regular operation and at the 1st 3D movie on this device, one wonders why one has previously actually wondering whether you really need 3D.
Because here passive 3D technology is used (as in cinema), the horizontal resolution is halved and therefore you have small horizontal black stripes, if you sit very close to the TV. At a reasonable distance (3-4m) but you no longer takes this responsibility and has a 1a movie enjoyment!
In my opinion, the better alternative to the active shutter glasses technology. The glasses should be quite difficult, tolerability probably partly not so overwhelming for the eyes and the glasses also cost a lot.
Here you can just buy cheap glasses or even make use of the glasses from the cinema!
Well, until last night absolutely no clouding is me (thanks to Alexber for its image settings) noticed. Last night, however, a little at the bottom left and top right. Has after about 1 hour but strongly reduced again. Will I watch next time. I find not too bad and is very minimal and unfortunately seems in LCD / LED nunja belonging.

6. Sound

Must criticize you definitely that files with DTS track remain silent, so you have to resort to Dolby Digital. This is really a pity!
7. Gaming / input lag
Probably heißdiskutierteste topic in this TV. I must confess that I almost why not buy him. Although I zocke very little, but whenever I feel like it did, I would like to have are not huge TV, which does not make this possible.
I have my PC connected to the TV times now and the first test run Diablo3 went wonderfully. Not unlike on the PC monitor.
Then on the PS3 gambled one lap Fifa14. Again, I had no problems.
How it behaves with shooters, I can not judge. But anyway is not my genre.

I think for the casual gamer, the mentioned input lag not be a problem.
Since the pro gamers but probably spends as much money for a graphics card, as I for one PC, with which I can still play properly, you will be here just probably still a lot to get more out when buying a TV when something drauflegt of money.

8. Connectors / Accessories
As mentioned we have here is really a very generous amenities. 4x HDMI should be enough a long time and you do not need buy more a hub / adapter. Even otherwise remain little to be desired.
WiFi is not available. Perhaps a small drawback, since due to the slight skew state of the foot of each cable can have an impact (see point optics).
If you want wifi, so it must be to buy a suitable dongle.
A little pity, I find that no free CI + card included, which is a long time now. The you get currently in very many devices (even receivers) with it and nothing can test for 1 year HD TV. Would have been nice also.
Included are 2 3D glasses that look visually good in my opinion and can be worn well.
Here was criticized in another review that they could be too small for eyeglass wearers, which I can well imagine.
Otherwise, you can simply use the glasses of a cinema visit or quite cheap from specialist retailers.
9. Smart TV / Interactive TV
Emotionally, I would also say that other manufacturers offer more here. 5 apps are pre-installed (such as max cathedrals), eBay / Facebook apps you can still download free etc.
This point interests me little, because I do not use a TV for it and things like that then rather kill the PC.
All the information that will be one displayed when changing channels, I find, however, very useful (think the grumbles to HBB TV) and make the television everyday a little more pleasant.

The points that you can find fault with the TV, a total of for me but then so small, respectively irrelevant because the pros are just very strong in this TV, especially after taking into account the price. At this price, you get not even necessarily an outstanding 50 TV.
Who is not extremly picky now and desperately needs high-end material, should be with this TV more than happy also because you just can not help thinking just how much TV you get bids for relatively little money!
11. Price changes / Specials
Who is not in a hurry and do not necessarily need a new TV, the top can hope to become regular price of 749 euros, you can still save here.
Amazon has TV in between even the one time or another for 699 euros penetrate you (in the Cyber-Monday-week even for 679 Eur).

The television was logically come with 2 people and the Hermes staff offered me even now to the TV for me to unpack, so that I could check it for defects.
