Unfortunately, it is at the nub not a trackpoint but a so-called. Optical trackpad. And the built-in Optical TrackPad behaves exactly like a tiny, round TouchPad - only much, much more uncomfortable. The slightest touch of the trackpad triggers a mouse click. The supplied stylus can be - unlike all other tablet PCs, I've ever used - not to sink in the housing. In 90% of cases I have the pen probably not there when I need him, because I did not always have my bag there when I'm traveling with the tablet. Certainly the case would have been slightly greater if they had integrated a recess for the pin. This one had the pin but close at hand, which is not now the case. Oh yes, it is also the first pin which needs a battery. That was never the case with my pen-use devices from Lenovo, Toshiba and even with my Wacom drawing tablets.
When one pops up the screen and the device operates with the hardware keyboard, the device does not fit its screen orientation automatically. When the computer is on a level surface, the inclination of the screen is not enough to convince the sensor from the fact that an adjustment of the screen orientation would be appropriate. The device then you have to raise even more annoying back, so that the screen content of the orientation is adjusted. If one uses the computer on your lap and then bends slightly before this, it happens regularly that the screen content rotates and suddenly upside down. If you briefly connect a USB device and the Vaio thereby raising side, the screen content is upright immediately. During re-entry into the horizontal course nothing happens, so you will again finds misalignment and forced to Bildschirmgewackel. That should have been an automatic locking prevents folded up screen. So one is definitely no other choice than the screen orientation when using the hardware keyboard to manually disable the software side.
The device acts otherwise very high quality. The tilt of the display, however, fix and can not adapt to the viewing angle; for me it would be ok. The terrible optical trackpad lack receptacle for the pin and the extremely unsatisfactory behavior of the screen orientation in the keyboard operation make the device but absolutely useless for me.
With a bit of good will, the device deserves maybe two stars. But I am so disappointed with the optical trackpad which also has really deserves no mercy, only I'll buy a star.
I'm going to wait for the "ATIV Smart PC Pro" from Samsung or the "Surface Pro" from Microsoft.
Edit: I have the device missed another star as a single star might actually be something to get off the machine bad.
