Ordered to test the 100 2 IP cams. With both I was satisfied (for the price range) and both serve their purpose. Nevertheless, there are some differences.
Picture: Is in the TP-Link by 1MP better
1: 0 for TP-Link
Night Vision: Available only with DLink. Slightly blurred but OK
1: 1
Design: The Dlink is compact, does not act as schachtelig and more workable. However, the TP-Link is also good. Both are suited for living rooms.
2: 1 for DLink
Web: looks a bit more professional TP-Link. DLink is more beginner-friendly.
2: 2
Alarm storage: Both provide FTP and SMTP (email). The TP-Link offers even dirkten access to Unix and Windows networks.
3: 2 for TP-Link
Internal Memory: Has only the Dlink (memory card)
3: 3
Operating voltage: 5V DLink - TP-Link 12 volts. Thus, one can operate the TP-Link with a akkugebufferten standard power supply.
4: 3 for TP-Link
Motion detection: The TP-Link 3 independent areas on sensitivity and threshold value can be set. When DLink go several areas, but there is only one global Emfindlichkeitswert.
5: 3 for TP-Link
IR detector: For the DLink has an additional motion sensor with adjustable sensitivity (low, medium, high)
5: 4 for TP-Link
Stability / reliability. Both made previously in continuous operation no problems. However, the TP-Link connects after being de-energized not always. Then you have to either the network cable short out and in, or reseten router / switch.
5: 5
Connecting paths: Both Ethernet RJ45. The DLink also has wireless internet.
6: 5 for DLink
Service: DLink offers the "mydlink Service". This makes it very easy for beginners to set up a mobile surveillance. But go with DLink cams. A stand-alone solution, such as "IP Cam Viewer" for Android by Robert Chou I find there better. Nevertheless, the service point for DLink.
7: 5 for DLink
Onsceen: Both the date and time can be inserted into the picture. In DLink the position can not change (for example, up, down).
7: 6 for DLink
Otherwise provide Biede all important Grundfintionen how Zeitsyncro on Server, H.264, MPEG-4, DDNS, UPnP, Bonjour, Mehrsprachung (incl. German), div. Picture settings, automatic and fixed IP, both allow multiple user accounts.
My Conclusion.
Despite the lower resolution the DLink is the better choice for me. Is minimally more expensive. More, however, little get for the money. If you need more, just needs to pay more. Unsuitable for entry OK, but for professional use.
If DLink would screw something on the Software (currently V1.11) you could get even more.
Suggestions for improvement: access to Windows networks (eg NAS if you will not use a FTP or can), threshold setting for image recognition, move the OSD position, threshold setting for IR LED switching for night vision (is not adjustable)
Another tip to mydlink. Access via the smartphone app only works if the IP is assigned automatically. Who wants yet a fixed IP, can assign these via the router (DHCP) on the MAC address. Then happy. Unfortunately, many do not know and give the App Store in a bad review and write, "does not go" .... well. knew how ;-)
So then the vote:
TP-Link TL-SC3430 - 4 stars
DLink DCS-942 - 5 Stars
(For the lower price range)
