I made barbell training in the gym for years in HotIron courses and did not want to miss it during the summer course breaks. That's why I was looking for a set at home, which is similar to that which I know from the gym. The Prime Pump barbell set, I have found the right thing for me. The included weight plates let all weight variants to 2x7,5kg and give me completely out of my workout. I particularly like the color differentiation, we know quickly how much weight has what color and what one therefore has on the rod. The additional interventions in the weight plates are awesome, one can thus train separately with the discs. However, they are too tight in the 1kg- and 0.5kg discs due to the smaller wheel diameter very narrow and even for my small finger. Here I take rather then through the center hole. At first I struggled myself with the spring clips to fix the discs. They must not tilt when on-the-bar-slide since then garnix more. Meanwhile, I have also here the hang of it and get along well. The bar and the discs are meticulously crafted, there are no sharp edges and the neoprene shroud the discs is odorless and non-sticky. The kit is ideally suited for training according HotIron / Power Pump principle. For muscle building strength training weights are then too small - but for the set was not even thought of. Who wants to make such a strength training, but then should work with a proper weight bench and corresponding weight sets and weights. Conclusion: - Ideal for HotIron training or Power Pump Training - Good quality materials and workmanship - Price / performance ratio ok recommended to buy
