I've played through the game now and have to say wow, but I bought the PS Vita. The graphics are bombastic (almost on a par with Killzone 3 on PS3 [!!], the production class, the controller for the PS Vita seen almost perfect and the game very high. Overall, I "normally" used almost 6 hours for the campaign, and I'm barely slipped and almost durchgerusht what a 40 Euro (on PSN Store 35) Shooter is quite ok on a handheld. When you're done with the campaign, there are many other ways that individual missions (a total of 9 of where one out side of the ISA times on the side of Helghast fights) to play through, so-called contracts: precision, stealth and destruction, which depending on the type and ways how to play the game very varied. In addition, there are many different Van Guards and weapons (more weapons than in the console offshoots) that offer a lot of variety and that is why it is worthwhile to again play the campaign. The individual levels are tubed and winding, ie, there are many different ways to proceed (see above). A special feature of the game is that you get for jobs, Kills, etc. successful sneak money that you can spend on weapons, equipment, Van Guards etc., in multi- and in Singleyplayer (inversely of course). Which brings us to the Multiplayer: Finally a good online shooter, BioShock Declassified and Resistance: Burning Skies miles display properly. 4v4 on 6 different maps in 3 modes (guerrilla, Team Deathmatch and Warzone), I personally make it to the few connection problems a lot of fun.
Pro: - Bombastic graphics - Good scenery and atmosphere - Top Multiplayer - Good control - Variety by different approaches
Neutral: - ~ 6 hours campaign - Narrative mixed (neither good nor bad)
Cons: - From time to connection problems - Only 6 maps in Multiplayer
Conclusion: When Killzone: Mercenary regarded as what it is, a 40 Euro shooter on a mobile device, and it does not compare with a 60 euro console shooter can only come to the conclusion that it probably is the best person shooter on a handheld and any the suits the genre I can highly recommend it.
PS: I think it's unfair that Vita titles technically are so good that they will always be regarded as console titles in reviews, even though they are not. Something there is in the 3DS by Nintendo for example not there a Zelda is given more than 90%, although there are not rankommt Wii / Wii U Zelda, why is it in the Vita differently? Just because there almost console quality is achieved, the game is rated worse. I think there is some double standards, as can be seen especially in the reviews of Killzone Mercenary. Sorry, I had to get rid of. But playing and see for yourself, a lot of fun :)
