Customer Review

She's so unusual

When Cyndi Lauper In 1983 a record deal with Epic She had been a few years in Musikbuisiness behind him, but still no success wanted to hire.

That changed, however, with the publication of this Albumes that originated in cooperation with the Hooters. Initially ridiculed for your clothes style, it became a style icon of the 80's and the attention brought her success.

The album includes the hit singles except "Girls just wanna have fun", "Time after Time", "She Bop" and "All Through the Night" further class title. Excellent also the Prince Cover "When You Were Mine" is with Cyndi's voice even more intense.

Also a real catchy tune is the opener "Money Changes Everything" that one no longer comes out of your head and as all tracks from Cyndi's voice lives, which is simply unmistakable.

With "Wittness", "I'll kiss you" and "Yeah Yeah" really are three good pieces available, so it's a well-rounded album, without any low or weakness.

Is supplemented by three Album Live titles that demonstrate the Cyndi it sees itself as a performer, to attract people under its spell. Above all, the message to "Money Changes Everything" I find it very successful.

Overall a great album that even after more than 25 years still works its charm.

True Colors

As Cindy Lauper In 1986, the second album on the market, I was really curious to see how she would beat without the support of Hooters and equal to the title track and the first singing "True Colors" was really convincing.

Nevertheless, the album was a very different and somehow seemed more mature than "She's so unusual." This was also in Cyndi outfit even more with brightly colored hair, but in the opinion of many critics musically and artistically mature.

Nevertheless, the album was a commercial throwback to the debut album. Because this album does not act like a "cast" but in some cases a little hanging. Partially could Cyndi slightly rude levels (One Track Mind, Change of heart, true colors) hold, on the other hand, some are not so outstanding tracks on the album, which can affect the whole round.

For me an album worth listening to, this means a shift from the first big bestseller for musiklisch higher quality and also as a little effect on me. Torn, imbalances nevertheless of great class.
