Two women from different generations who, without being known, are linked by the same passion for the Australian bush and the same character. One, Mathilda, teenager after the First World War, fought only to preserve its sheep breeding station, against the natural elements and neighboring landowners hungry for this huge operation. The other, Jenny, young urban living in Sydney in the 70s, discovers that her late husband bought the farm, in accordance with their common love of the bush. Then follows the story of these two women intimately linked by a newspaper wrote that Mathilda and Jenny found by chance in this station. And immersed in the bitterness and harshness of the country, its climate and people. A hard novel that despite the dramatic background, always in the will and the refusal of fatality. An excellent book.
