I personally very much like most headphones, I want to apologize already in advance that my review perhaps a little more detail fails.
If you do not want to read a lot, you my short conclusion could possibly be enough. Otherwise, I wish you much perseverance, but who want to invest a lot of money, should be able to expect a hopefully sufficiently informative review. Here we go ...
Packaging / perceived quality:
The in-ears are delivered in a highly protective carton. The trappings and the content is impressive from the start. There are 3 different sized ear tips in the package. Everything is processed voices.
Since I already have a couple of products from Bose, has now not surprise me. You pay at Bose certainly much for the name, but the products themselves are characterized by a quality work.
Longevity:
The in-ear cable or the cable before or after the module for the noise-canceling can not be exchanged. Furthermore, thus the battery is not replaceable. Of course, this also means that if a cable breaks, the listener is broken and remains. The cables, however, are very well made, in my opinion, and not make a priori the impression that they could break down after a few weeks or months. This can no longer exploit the full power of a battery over time, and each has to be clear. I'll still use this images in the gallery, if that's me then permitted after publication of Amazon. At present I can, even before the current release date, do not use images.

Battery life:
The targeted 16 hours battery life time I can not confirm. In my case, a value of about 12-14 hours had come out. For an intercontinental flight will be still usually sufficient. Who can charge every day, the rich certainly from 12-14 hours. For charging I use either a USB port on the computer or the power plug from the Iphone. Goes equally wonderful.
The following devices have been tested:
Ipod Classic (latest generation) and the current iPhone 5. In addition, I have tested the iPod Classic with zugeschaltetem Headphone Amplifier FiiO E17. Gain on +6, Treble and Bass to +4. IPod Classic and the iPhone 5 on neutral equalizer. Each will have its settings here. To my mind I go best with this.
My Opinion on the Sound:
Under headphone enthusiasts Bose has not the best reputation, but once you've bought Bose and has heard a trial, then you know what to expect. It is the typical Boseklang. In my humble opinion, the listener gives the music a very bass emphasized again. The heights are well available, but I am missing something here too the centers. I use the phone exclusively connected with a noise-canceling.
About the specifications manual as well as the homepage of Bose has not. This as a side note to audiophiles who like fiddling with technical figures.
With active noise-canceling I am so far come only on my older MP3 player from Sony (type X1050) into contact. The Bose In-Ear keeps the outside world really back very well. Although high frequency sounds come sometimes something through, but that does not really tarnishes the enthusiasm that unfolds the Bose here.
Because of Bose in-ear must have a very high input impedance, the maximum volume on iPod classic example relatively low. But it is also clear that a high volume is needed by the active Noice-canceling because the ambient noise is indeed suppressed. Thus, you can concentrate listening with low volume of his music.
The potential for more power brings the Bose in any case with him. Therefore I also mobile headphone amplifier interposed. Through my settings I enjoy a very good to my mind sound. That there are better situations here, I am well aware, but for my needs is more than sufficient.
As the in-ear beats over other products?
Privately, I still have the Ultimate Ears Triple.Fi 10, the (at least as an EIA that time) can compete with the Bose is priced. Sonically, I find this (even if he has not built noise-canceling) a little better. By contrast, the Bose sound a little dull, the centers do not come so clearly over.
This dumpfere sound or this veil that something about the music sets up the Bose QC20i with activated Noice-canceling, is probably due to technical reasons otherwise solvable.
Disadvantage of Triple.Fi 10 is at least the seat of the in-ears for me. I currently own at least 5 in-ears different price ranges, but no one was sitting so far as modest as the Triple.Fi 10th
The Bose QC20i sits with me but perfect. Since even the basic package has been sitting perfectly with the earbuds in M. None of the previous in-ears is as comfortable as the Bose In-Ear.
What I have noticed?
-The Attention mode (the middle button on the remote control) allows a little outside noise. This is useful if you have to walk through a crosswalk example. Since in-ears but well foreclose already innately from the environment, this is not to be understood so that you can now have a conversation with an opposite people. Plus the in-ear must be removed from the ear canal after all. The Aufmerksamtkeitsmodus allows only a little more outside noise, but still extremely well insulated.
-When Iphone 5 or about the Ipad3 or the iPod Classic (Latest Generation) I was able to test the remote control with no dropouts. It can be provided with her, as with devices for the iPhone, the current track Pause (1x click), a title skip forwards (2x click), a title to jump back (3x click) and move the volume down or up. Especially the 2x or by clicking here 3x goes very well out of hand. In my previous round headphones from Sennheiser that was always a Gefrickel because it has not always implemented all clicks perfectly.
-The Noise-canceling is also great to work concentrated, while one might hear no music. The outside world is left out, as one that is just wishes (even in an open plan office can sometimes be very liberating).
-The Case provided for storing the in-ears is big enough and lightly padded. The USB cable for charging fits into a small present in the interior network. The in-ear itself fits well into it (I always make small loops). Here again: The fabric is extremely limited, thereby making an excellent impression.
Conclusion:
The Bose QC20i missing something the centers, the highs and the bass is well presented. He sounds after several hours now in my constellation really good.
The perfect combination for me would be the seat and the appearance of the Bose QC20i and the tonal quality of the UE Triple.Fi 10. We are talking about but not of a compromise that may be entered with the Bose QC20i. The in-ears are truly good companions. Sounds everything for a typical 4-star rating, but I give the Bose QC20i deserved 5 stars because I just loved the whole package. I am now very happy with my new in-ears for far over 80 hours listening experience.
Who the noise suppression is very important, who has a good and hopefully loyal companion found.
If the long-term use result in a cable break or the like, so I'll extend my course review the effect.
Updated on 27.4.2014: Due to my misfortune I got the clothes clamp lost and just wrote to Bose. Friday afternoon by 12 clock the email written with the request, where you can buy clothes terminal sale and by 16 clock was already the answer that you would like to send me free replacement. Very good and very fast customer service (although I am aware that the terminal is a penny article).
