This graphics card is really striking. The seller also super fast delivery, good Packaged, SUPER - THANK YOU! The price is a bit steep and above average here (as of early October 2014), but I did not want to wait because other traders could not deliver. For thrifty people: in few weeks the card safe here costs even more to the 300-350.
But even from the beginning:
I had GTX590 graphics card for 3 years a NVidia. That was an extremely Fuel Card, but a "double", ie 2 GPU's - say 2 graphics cards in one. Microruckler included. Hardly noticeable, gamers notice it however. Price was high, but I wanted to pace. To get the comparison of my old GTX590 and this new Gtx 970:
VOLUME:
The 590er was crazy loud. One could almost play with headphones. The 970- to can not hear you! NOT! Because the card cools to 60 ° C PASSIVE, say the fans are completely silent. Only when the card is required, the two fans turn to for some time - extremely quiet! I can hear the card never since been quiet fan of water cooling of the CPU is already louder than the 970 under full load. They never reached until now more than 67 ° C, and I have hunted through all the benchmarks :-)
CAUTION:
This affects only those MSI graphics card, because it was here from MSI a completely novel heatsink installed: "Twin Frozr V". In other 970ern it is as quiet (cards from the factory directly from NVidia), but far not as good as solved here (You try Google for further information!)
Power consumption:
Since this card is a true single card, it consumes less power (there is no so-called micro-stuttering) -. PERFORMANCE:

The GTX590 was really a Tier 3 years ago what concerns performance. Even with some cheap current graphics card they can keep up to today. But due to the high power consumption and noise, and the fact that I no longer could use the Ultra settings with recent titles without jerking in the Game to feel (yes, I'm a nerd), needed a new graphics card. From a performance point of this new GTX970 put my "old" way with the left. Speed boost loose about 30-40%. Equipped for the future. Games I've played, I play now with Ultra settings and 60FPS +. Everything is going as smoothly as if it were a movie and not a PC game. Real gross.
An example: "Planetside2" (A good Free 2 play shooter from SOE) I gambled so far always set to "medium", because me the graphic was not as important as many FPS to any disadvantages in this brisk shooter to have. Now I have everything set to ULTRA and all activated to the hardware and what geht- zocke in Full HD resolution with round (and IMPORTANT: constant) 50-60FPS. It's actually easier to hit now more than ever, not to mention the fact that I now constantly discover new things in the game that I never saw before - because I now play with Ultra graphics :-)
TO THINK ABOUT:
The few weeks ago still nearly 1000 (!!!!) traded NVidia Titanium graphics card (also a single core card from NVIDIA) is slower (!!!!) as this card here costs far more and eat more power than this GTX970! As for the big sister of this GTX970 here, the GTX980 has appeared simultaneously with the GTX970, this is the current status as it is sold, partially slower than my new 970, MSI GeForce GTX970 gaming since the 4096MB is overclocked. With the supplied software and the tools you can even get even more when it comes to speed. Of course, this will change even if the sold 980 from manufacturers such as ASUS, MSI, etc also overclocked. Nevertheless, I think the price difference of 200 is not justified for the few% more power they will have then ...
If you, dear reader, have made it this far, they will have indeed realized that I am very excited about the new GTX970. And that's when God is not typical for me, I love bitches about defects. I had bought NEVER a graphics card, which I had nothing to complain about. And I own PCs, since they exist. This is the first map that makes me completely happy. Did not find what I do not like.
Enthusiasts who need 200FPS and more at Ultra settings in games, or to any benchmark to break records online, select your hardware cool with liquid nitrogen, probably 2 or 3 of these cards, or rather 3x 980s buy - in SLI Association, I wonder halt: what for?
ADDENDUM:
Small side note: Supplied to the actual graphics card was a Mousepad by MSI. Very nice, really! However, this is so fraught with stench of chemicals that the point where the mousepad was at the computer table, my hands - just what so everything came into contact stinks. The table smells 3x rub with Spüli still! Health is not certain. Smells like car tires or something like that, and I was really bad after a few hours. The thing is now in the manure. Of course, this does not affect the rating of this super card.
