The installation is very easy, cable plug from the radiators into the solar module (splash-proof plug-in connection), set up solar module and immerse spotlight in water. These must be sufficiently complained because the lift is quite high.
In our case, the radiators are in 60cm of water depth on a paragraph in the swimming pond. Small pebbles on the orbiting plastic lower shell of the radiator was not sufficient. Put a few larger granite stones (5-8 cm diameter) to the radiator, so that only the LEDs are visible to the top, but have this securely anchored and see visually striking. The built-in solar panel sensor switches the lamps at dusk (twilight level can not be adjusted).
The only downside from our point of view are the relatively short cable (3m each per radiator). Since the Solarmodull requires a suntrap and you also have to take into account right uneven ground near the shore and the water depth, is at the end only a small Aufstellradius to the solar module around. Are correspondingly small and the distances between the radiators. Longer cables or the possibility to provide these in series on would have been desirable for us. There is a point deduction.
CONCLUSION: After two partly cloudy summer days now in August the batteries were full enough to feed the radiator 3 of nightfall until dawn, or about 6-8h light duration. The cone of light in the water to see fantastically strong - not so funzelig, like many other solar garden lights plug. We are therefore satisfied with the product.
