From the idea of a roll-up and space-saving door grating I'm still not convinced. I have now installed this 2 roll-grids. The first with additional bracket for a banister was reasonably easy to install for a technically talented person with assistance yet. The second grid, that I wanted to screw directly to the wall, it was much worse: - Silver plastic rail for hooking the grid was slightly bent even at delivery. - After installation of the plastered wall, the rail is no longer straight but wavy. (Although I have used a long spirit level and to optimize and align precisely.) This makes the hooking of the grid harder! - When assembling the plastic rail of the head of the screws breaking off easily! (Normally I would use the provided screws and plugs - do not use here the Schauben are but visible and visually see the good supplied - precisely because of the lousy quality..) The rest of the screw depends now of course in a prominent position on the stairs! - The grid is not running very well.
Displayed for about 15 seconds has probably thought someone from the marketing department! With good will it be the first grating 8 and the second grid 4 seconds !! That's not enough time to hook the grid from. So: Each time the knob to nearly 360 degrees turn until it clicks to open or close the grid.
In summary, I find the product idea. The optical implementation is OK, but the technical implementation is flawed! How can you please use a flexible plastic rail for mechanically stressed parts, if one makes the grid box (just for the look) metal / aluminum! ?? Priced the stair gate is in any case hard to the absolute limit. (If it was because function properly, that would be OK. But so ... :() Would I buy the product again, I do not know. If, it's only because I have absolutely no room for another solution.
