With Part 4 of the mystery part was almost entirely rationalized away and replaced by a significantly increased action share, which however due to the unfavorable camera angles (though makes for interesting viewing angles, is to play but unsuitable) and also otherwise almost entirely wayward control is a disaster. The few good elements of control such as the easily accessible inventory relativized by the arg limited space in same. So you have to constantly switch between the home and dream world, which is annoying in the long run, especially since you can save only in the apartment.
The look of the game is in contrast to the previous parts not so dirty and dark, what the atmosphere harms. The opponents are no longer taken so grauenerrgend as in other parts of its own. Moreover immortal enemy types nerves in the long run, which also follow a penetranterweise in the second half of the game even on several levels Level.
Actor Henry Townshend is a man with no personality. Every now and then he pushes times out a listless comment for players, otherwise it does not appear but the suspicious transactions in his home particularly to itch.
In summary, it has been hopelessly lost in the projects to tread with Part 4 new gameplay ways. Hardly anything works. I recommend for the 2nd part with which I was also the first time in Silent Hill, and is better in virtually every way.
