Unfortunately, the really big moments are missing ...

Who knows Mortan Veiland, know that you do not have to lose many words about the musical direction of this plate. Gothic Metal, how to love him or hate. Polyphonic singing, and many dominant keyboards and violins, hard but unspectacular guitar (Here you'll find no great solos or something) bass and drums keep rather unfauffällig in the background.
Nothing so, but proven to consistently high level. While it is not nearly reached on SIRENIA sophomore ancient Tristania level, but I doubt anyway that ever again just anyone.
Mainly this is because that while great vocal lines are available, but playing with the different voices more like a "juxtaposition" sounds as a "togetherness".
Furthermore, missing the really catchy guitar riffs. While the guitar work is far from monotony, but carried away really can not anyway.
One can make no real weaknesses in the material, although one has to almost every song feel like the last spark has somehow missed.
Too bad, but you can clearly see that you might yet again have to expect a feat as "beyound the Veil" ...
