I want / you describe to you here my experience with the Power Theory PowerBank 10,000 mAh.
The Power Bank is 13.5cm long, 7.5cm wide and only 1.3 cm high.
It weighs only 187 grams which is an absolutely extraordinary low value in its class.
Thus, this power bank is ideal for mobile use, such as short breaks, in the university or in the swimming pool.
The kit also is still a white 25cm long charging cable with the same 3 connectors for micro-USB, Apple 30-pin and Apple Lightning.
This idea of a combined charging cable I find very commendable, it saves quite a bit of a tangle of cables that otherwise arises when you have different charging ports to its products.
In addition, still another 50cm long microUSB charging cable (also whitish but oddly with another color than the other cables) and a quick guide in German and English in the plastic blister ..
The manual is an excellent course and translated very well what I have unfortunately already seen very often different.
The surface of the Power Bank consists of whitish, almost pearly glossy plastic.
This is specially painted, because he does not draw as usual fingerprints and dust like a magnet on but remains virtually spotlessly.
All the Power Bank acts therefore very sophisticated and high quality.
On the top there is a 4-piece blue LED charge status indicator, which is activated by pressing the next On / Off button.
Inactivity it shuts off automatically after a few seconds.
The readability is good, 4 segments are clearly separated so that no neighboring light shines through.
Each segment indicates 25% charge level, so that you get provides an approximate charge level.
On the front there are two USB ports for charging are given with 2.1A or 2.5A output.
In addition, the left is next to a microUSB port for charging the unit with max. 1A. (According to the product description).
Charging the Power Bank is very simple.
By plugging the supplied or an existing micro-USB cable to the Power Bank and in the desired charger plug (AC adapter, Wall Charger, or in an emergency the PC).
Charging takes place automatically and the progress is visualized by the blue indicator light.
The each not filled segments are flashing.
The Power Bank turns after loading automatically.
In order to bring the 10,000 mAh Power Bank from empty to full capacity again I have a Wall Charger with max. 2.4A Output used more than 9 hours.
This coincides not with the 6-8 hours, specified by the manufacturer in the Quick Start Guide.
Since energy is lost while loading always likely to be available from the existing to instructions 1A charging current, in practice only about 0.8A. This would explain the longer charging time (the Banks are quite never empty).
I am thinking here of the manufacturers should adapt the manual to the real circumstances.
With a 1A Input can be a 10,000 mAh Power Bank factually not charge in 4-6 hours.
Laudable I find, however, that it is pointed in the product description on the not fully available capacity (about 70-80% effective are possible) and the customer is not left in the mistaken belief of being able to actually dispose of the entire 10,000 mAh
Charging other devices is very simple.
Insert the USB connector of the device to be charged to the desired port and already charging starts automatically.
Pressing the Power button is therefore not necessary for this device ..
Then the Power Bank switches reliably himself.
A simultaneous charging of two ports is also possible.
With the 100% charged PowerBank I could bring my Samsung Tab 10.5 S once from 12% to 100% charge level.
After the Power Bank flashed with the latest LED, was therefore almost empty.
My grade 3 could be twice the full load power bank, then the Power bank was still one LED remaining capacity to Field.
The technically expected capacity can be realized by the Power Bank evidently approximately (see above)
At both ports I fortunately could not detect any significantly longer charging time than with my original Samsung power supplies.
For me, the realization has now anyway out that it is usually the charger cable, which lead to differences in the charging time.
So please pay attention to which cable you achieve the fastest load times on.
Since there is, in my experience huge differences related not only to the manufacturer, the diameter and length of each cable.
In the overall analysis, I give this well-crafted and exceptionally compact Power Bank like the deserved 5 stars.
The price effect compared to other Power Banks with higher capacity may be somewhat too high.
Since here but the overall package is extremely consistent, this relativized.
I hope this review could assist you in your purchase decision ....
