The second band, which I bought myself against better knowledge, has completely given up the ghost after almost 9 weeks, and is now a pile of electronic waste! In practice, however, the last scrap - in theory a nice idea, this band is! I can only say: Do not buy !!!
---
I bought my band in April 2013 directly from the manufacturer and that in the color gray.
Now, after eight weeks, the band is already broken. This means, incidentally, not that it would have before it works smoothly in the eight weeks. It had constantly something: The sync with the phone worked only rarely on the first try; the store has never once worked without complications, either expressed therein that the band has not loaded or after crashed and had to be reset. Sometimes a combination of both.
And today, as I did, as the manufacturer indeed explicitly permitted, worn for the first time in the shower. The little splash should the band that even up to one meter is waterproof according to factory specification, so can not harm. Forget it! Quite obviously water has come into the device, because now it is dead and can no longer be with a soft or hard reset persuade it to work again.
As icing on the cake, the band has been through my shower gel (!) Now even in places discolored. By gel !!! And so hot that it no longer would collect!
And even if that's annoying, I would normally say that although this should not happen, but can happen sometimes; typical product just Monday.
The manufacturer Jawbone is the case but different, which ultimately leads to my one-star review:
1) The band was introduced in 2011 in the US market, but then again withdrawn from the market in late 2011 because of angry protests customers who all complained of broken straps. Jawbone promised improvement and brought the supposedly completely revised and improved tape the end of 2012 returned to the market. The reason for the broken-up bands first generation outages because ingress of water!
2.) Although Jawbone claims on its website that the band is about thousands of showers, not true. Because I'm not an isolated case, but the user forum at Jawbone is full of dissatisfied customers who all complain about a dead band of the 2nd generation!
Conclusion: This product is still immature and may be recommended by my side Never!
