Have long wondered whether I should take the simplest Thule carriers better or a no-name product is also sufficient, since the carrier max. 1-3 times per year will be used, I decided for the cheaper version and am after the first exit satisfied.
Positives:
My wheel is held securely, the receiver for the frame is provided with slats that well adapt to the context. In addition, the carrier is relatively easy.
Neutral:
Mounting the bicycle carrier on the basic carrier takes some time to complete, and the assurance of the bicycle in the carrier system (frame bracket and wheel lock) takes some time to complete, also may the backup tapes even more firmly rest on the rim, which, however, prevented by the width of the support rail becomes. During transport, however, it was no problem.
Negatives:
The low weight is associated with concessions to the stability of the carrier rail, it gets tangled up already when lifting it clear what makes me doubt the longevity of the carrier system.
On balance I would recommend the carrier anyway since the actual task - the transport of my bike - works well.
