This battery-powered device is very easy to use: Laying cuff around the left upper arm, close Velcro, push little buttons and you're done! The cuff inflates automatically and lets the pressure again automatically. Subsequently, the value of systolic (top value) and diastole appears on the display (lower value), as well as the instantaneous heart rate per minute. Since not every layman can estimate the measured values informs one on the WHO (World Health Organization) based color scale (green, yellow, orange, red) whether the value in the green or in the red zone, or if you have a normal has blood pressure or a light, medium or strong hypertension.
Just the measured pulse is not classified visually, but everyone should know that a normal resting heart rate between 60 and 80 beats per minute. At the first measurement, please do not be excited, otherwise the pulse is higher! ;)
The last 30 measurements are stored and can be retrieved when needed. Up to 4 people can regularly connect to the device and monitor their individual values. The device should be able to identify even cardiac arrhythmias and warn - great thing!
The included 4 batteries should be enough for about 250 measurements. So if one measures a healthy patient only once a week, which is sufficient for 5 years before you have to replace the batteries. The meter is kept in a locked Cotton wrapper so that it is protected from dust, heat and shocks and thus indicates false values that would unnecessarily frighten the customer merely improper treatment.
Conclusion: For each household in which people live, which is not their health care, the device is a valuable addition. Your doctor will certainly agree with that.
