V-DAC II vs. Onboard Sound

Musical Fidelity V-DAC II High End USB D / A Converter 24bit / 96kHz (Electronics)

Customer Review

The fact that in various solutions (eg Sound on laptop, or sound from the flat screen TV) is dependent on an external solution is understandable. I can very well imagine that this draws a significant improvement in sound by itself as other solutions (cheaper DACs) me. I got myself the V-DAC to music via USB (cable not included) to give from my PC to the system. Previously I have this I the onboard output of the computer used (Realteck 883 chip). I have a significant leap forward by using the V-DAC's expected. The differences were only very slight or barely audible. This may speak for the quality of the Onboard sounds or V-DAC does not promise what he thinks. We have several A / B comparisons made and blind tests. There were a maximum identify nuances. After several days hinundher we went but decided to keep the converter. Even though there are only nuances of the V-DAC makes everything somehow nice. That may be true performance, or just imagination on our part. I do not know if more expensive converter yet can really make a sound improvement I do not know, but this converter creates only slight improvement compared to a (probably ca.) 15 Euro expensive onboard sound chip.
