Thermaltake MEKA G1 combat white, MX-black:
This appealed to me because of the beautiful white housing and the other simplicity.
She looks very solid and well made, except for the palm rest, which acts very
cheap and you really scared that it breaks the same during assembly.
Writing feels great, the keys are performed very precisely.
The first attempts at writing two things struck me.
First, the keyboard is relatively high (I do not like palmrest use). Possessions
remeasured to the first row (Space) is 34mm above the table. (QPAD 31mm)
Second, the key but have a marked resistance, which increases downward.
After some practice, I managed not always all keys up down
push through, but this remains a bit due to the increasing resistance
gummeliges feeling and if you have been through it expresses a beautifully precise
Feeling, but that's just at the MX-black but over time tiring.
The labeling of the buttons is relatively large, does not act quite so noble.
QPAD MK-50, MX-red:
The velvety surface of the housing is deep black and absorbs any light that
looks very nice. The groove, but which is running around the keypad probably
fill with dirt, let's see.
Writing is incredibly easy. The red`s have some resistance, characterized
I'm also a little hardness at the bottom than at the MX black`s. The non red`s
push through for me is not really possible, but I love the accurate feedback,
when you get down. The spring force also does not noticeably as the black`s, characterized
the whole thing feels again to exact.
When I put the finger relaxed on the keys, the keys do not make just enough counterforce to
sinking on its own, if I all 8 fingers fully relax sinks one or the other about 0.5mm, but does not fire.
The writing is very easy by hand, am faster and I do not make more mistakes than usual.
Also have something programmed, too, is really great.
Some getting used to is the unusual marking the point and comma key (both icons at the top)
The QPAD is 31mm lower from the table to the space key as the Thermaltake (34mm). The amount is for me
comfortable without palmrest.
QPAD MK50, MX-brown:
And now for the MX-brown, the MX-red are very similar, go almost as super light,
have just only the initial, a trace larger, resistance.
The spring travel does not feel as nice as in the red`s.
The slight pressure point is almost not felt, only if you're careful, you can ability to sense him,
but because the springs are as light as that of red`s, I'll almost always the way to the bottom,
especially because one accelerated by the pressure point again, because yes the resistance then decreases.
So if you fully press the Brown`s and red`s until it stops, is
the pressure point of Brown`s almost not felt, rather only as an unclean feeling
would remain as if the keys easily get stuck halfway.
Mich sturgeon also en little that the key while Gulping must also again on this pressure point,
and thus the end of the finger on the way up, after its overthrow, accelerated again,
and thus makes a somewhat louder noise at the upper stop.
Overall, then makes a little more clatter, both acoustically, and felt.
It is also a very quiet, nachsingendes spring noise can be heard, which is not at the red`s.
Conclusion:
The MX-black are a little too stiff for my delicate hands :-)
The MX-brown, while writing for me have no advantage over the red`s, therefore
I opted for the QPAD MK-50 MX-red, which feels very precisely,
and I fly only so over the keys. Become more "Cherry MX Rubber O-Ring Switch Dampeners"
