The software is useful, however, to assign specific notes to the pads, for example to control effects like glitch, or to adjust the pads to "toggle".
But it's still a simple utility, it is not in use hardware slave lag and a software that crashes every five mins as we sometimes see. : D
The "program" function allows to have 4 sets of 8pads / 8knobs, so we can easily create configs for live.
The knobs are pretty small, but it does not bother me at all.
They are not "infinite" (personal opinion: better), it will therefore be taken when two parameters are controlled with the same knob to avoid "jumps".
The "Program change" function is very useful in FL because we no longer need to "focus / click" on a window.
The only slightly negative for me is that we still press hard enough on the pad when it is used as a drumkit.
By adjusting the sensitivity, it is a little better, but "lose in play finesse" say the experts.
Nothing too bad for a neophyte like me, saw that I served to launch more effects or tracks.
Despite this small problem, I love this LPD8, I highly recommend for those starting or who want a good compromise pad / knobs with excellent price / quality ratio;)
