My impressions in detail:
POSITIVE
- Easy installation
- Driving fast high (just 5 seconds from start to enter the password)
- Pleasant matte screen, you can also make good use out
- Haswell processor, economical, grade for notebooks suitable
- Adequate internal graphics card (4400) for quality games too slow, perfectly adequate for normal Internet use
- 1 TB hard drive (good for photos, music files and movies), sufficient for watching Full HD movies
- Long battery life (is promised and is also true)
- Incl. Operating system Windows 8.1 (by the way have been looking for a free Office alternative for nothing ran, but am now in SoftMaker Office Free has shared)
- Update: I learned from a Windows 8-training that you have here on Outlook.com access to the latest online versions of Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint and Word. Works well at Acer!
- Intel Core i3 (4th generation) is ok
- Built-in DVD burner
- Standard equipment is ok: 4 USB ports, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, SD card reader
- Chic design. In the left and right touchpad buttons are installed below the touchpad, ie you can not see, but can push down the touchpad to operate the keys
- Pleasantly quiet
- Hinges make strong impression
- Not too hot
NEGATIVE
Here I have hardly anything to complain about, at most, that one really looks from the outside every fingerprint and that the Acer is a bit heavier than other notebooks I know. But these are really just peanuts.
TOTAL
The Acer is perfectly adequate for home use and offers everything the normal, average user needs. For intensive gaming it's not the right thing, but that's not the Anpruch the notebook. We also have the Dell Inspiron 15 at home (1 year old), which is a very similar price and the same notebook. The Acer, but I find better, because of offering a little more, especially the double-sized hard drive, the new Haswell processor, really long battery life and the matte screen. The Dell is a bit easier.
To use the Acer Cloud Acer incidentally an account is required.
CONCLUSION:
Cheap laptop for the average consumer who wants to play no high-quality games. Sufficient in absolute terms and the price is very reasonable. More you do not have to spend on a laptop, especially since laptops are out of date today after two to three years.
If you can live on the case with the fingerprints: slamming!
