I own the shoe now for a little over 1 year and I can say that I am honestly very disappointed. Had I but rejoiced because of GoreTex facilities to ensure an at least "water-repellent" shoe. The lacing system I was initially very critical because I had doubts of its durability. However, the fit and cushioning of the shoe was so convincing that I wanted to try it. After a short time, however, quickly put the disillusionment which the watertight integrity was concerned. Each wet meadow or stronger rainfall leads directly to the soaking. The glued to the insole textile layer dissolved in the forefoot also very fast. Although the high-traction sole offered initially super grip but after about 500km hiking in the highlands + 250km asphalt is the sole already completely gone. I weigh 78kg at 1.80m height. The lining in the heel area is also already frayed - despite matching stumps of Salomon. The suspected by me weak point of the snap closure is, however, still ok. Overall, I am more than disappointed and I can the shoe therefore not Tell. Those looking for just one shoe with great cushioning and traction without life, is hereby advise properly but the shelf life is just too bad as that one could recommend him. Other footwear made by Salomon have survived much longer cycles. Therefore I see the shoe as a step backwards and not recommend it.
