Very flat keyboard with good stop and innovative power

I bought the Logitech K750 keyboard a few weeks ago and am so far quite enthusiastic about the product.

So far I have to write the notebook keyboard of my laptop used, before that I had a desktop PC, on which a Logitech G15 gaming keyboard was connected.
So I had breits with various input devices the pleasure and hope so to be able to make a comparison.

OPTICS / First impression:
When you hold the Logtech K750 for the first time in the hands immediately notice the unusual look. the keyboard with keys protruding grade times kanpp 1cm thick (eye + ruler). The piano finish and y'know plastic edging are a matter of taste. Since I have quite a lot of piano lacquer objects in my room, and black / white furniture fits this keyboard of course perfectly in my room: D
Once you remove the protective tape from the piano paint surface falls on a fast, the disadvantage of the noble mirrored surface. Everywhere grease stains and fingerprints settle what course makes the optics to Niece and the keyboard no longer can act as very noble.
Although Logitech provides a nice way with a cloth, but we should at this point all the time to ask the question how useful this really is cleaning cloth. After all, who will actually sit down every day and his keyboard lavishly clean, especially between the keys this is especially aufwendigt with this cloth. Were they then cleaned in their painstaking efforts, it takes 30-60 minutes to the keyboard "dirty" is. Which I think is not necessarily speak for a good cost / benefit ratio.
Some reviews complain about the white plastic rim and argue that this "cheap" acts. I can only disagree. I find that the white framing of the keyboard has a very nice visual effect and not if "cheap" acts. On the contrary, the keyboard in my opinion evaluates visually even on!
Rounded corners give the keyboard a white modern, "Appel-like" touch.

In summary, I find the design of the keyboard very well done, it is questionable, however, if it is really such a good idea was to select the Keyboard, the piano finish, the one with its so constantly, secreting fat naturally, fingers touching. Although I personally do not mind really be mentioned this as a small flaw at this point.

PROCESSING / Stability / HANDLING:
The processing of keyboard pleasantly surprised me. Handy small and particularly thin keyboards are often poorly processed, have an ambiguous or stop buttons, wiggle unbearable.
Unlike the K750. The main piece with the piano finish completes very good and on a level with the white Platikteil, it hardly is a gap at the contact point, in which dirt, or similar Kekskrümmel could collect. The six, located on the lower logs "anti slip rubber feet" serve their purpose exemplary and not merely possess a "tokenism" as is the case with many other keyboards.
The plastic cover over the solar cell is kept quite thin, with stronger pressure this gives slightly and presses on the solar cells. But I think that the cover is not intentionally particularly thick, otherwise too much radiation energy would be absorbed?!. Even when pressed repeatedly take cover and solar cells not damaged and work properly, therefore it is adapted to its capacity probably relatively stable, here I am, however, not an expert, hands me the strength completely.

Very skeptical at first I was in the fold-out feet, they act in the first impression but kept quite small and make it appear to be labile. Amazingly, this is not the case. When folded out the feet and seblige are latched enter even at higher pressure in the deployment direction by little. You can tell right that they sit fixed and stable.
The external angle of the feet is approximately 60 ° to the inside, there are therefore 120 °. Again Geodreieck + Normal ruler as an extended auxiliary line + a sense of proportion, Korrenturen in the comments welcome!
The height of the highest point of the keyboard, thus at the upper end in the feet and solar cells (with folded legs) is approximately 2.5 cm, the niedirgste approx 0.8cm direct bearing on the feet / down the Space key. Here, the elevations of the keys have not been considered, taking into account are equivalent to about 0.25 cm top attribute.
I use the keyboard mostly lying on the legs, ie with no increase. When I tap it out on tables, with folded legs hands me the height, however, perfect for a comfortable typing from. But I think that this is different from person to person, bother me different heights not while typing. Another may feel, however, the level to be too low or too high. Anyway, I'm completely satisfied with the feet! Even when erwzungenen slipping the keyboard on the table, the feet do not fold randomly standsicher- a -somit. The situation is different on the bed or on the legs, but they were, after all, not developed.

Now we come to the handling per se.
The key layout is maintained as usual, the F-keys are also occupied by "FN" key twice with some useful functions, as you would in a notebook knows -very practical-but not new.
What is striking is the lack of "Indication LEDs" presumably for the purpose of power savings omitted and I have to say, it can also live without excellent for me. Whether you write in CAPSLOCK or the numpad does not work you realize yes, for example, rather quickly;)
The keys have a very good stop for the very flat design of the keyboard, so far I have never asked myself if the key was now pressed or not. With its commitment to fingers lightly on the keys and wobbles a little back and forth to give the keys only very slightly sideways maybe 0,3-0,5mm to each side, but this is dependent keys and bothers me personally when typing barely. I have fairly small hands, so actually makes my keyboard no difficulty typing, I have not felt often missing the one key than other keyboards. This, however, one must say that I have quite small hands. Nevertheless, I meet all the buttons well it seems to me, however, as before, as if typing on this keyboard requires little more subtlety than other keyboards (including my laptop keyboard [Samsung E272 Aura]). People with Bear Paws-like hands so I would not suggest from the keyboard.

THE SOLAR FEATURE / reach:
One of the main reasons for buying the K750 was the innovative power supply via built-in battery and solar cells in combination with the beautiful style. The two solar panels cover a little more than 2/3 of the upper surface of the keyboard off and are on the left and right above attached (see product image ...) The performance of the solar cells appears here to be absolutely sufficient for the keyboard, at least showed the useful " SolarApp "so far so good as always at 100%. Yesterday it was briefly 99%. But today again 100% -the charging works thus already painting). The battery and the "battery" is a button cell, which is located at the top portion of the keyboard and pull it out and replace it by your fingernail or a thin screwdriver can. How long does this, I can not judge, of course.
The SolarApp is a nice gimmick and shows activated by manually pressing a button, the power of solar cells stehts and the current power status and a history of the past, gliederbar in 1.3 and 12 months.
For ultimate power saving experience this keyboard can be switched off, the batteries charge while still also by manually operated ON / OFF switch.
Until now, solar cells met my expectations in full measure!

Now to reach. I live in a 68 square meters large (or even small) apartment. The most widely enfernteste space of my room is the bathroom (located diagonally on the other end of the apartment). When the doors are open to the reception itself is awarded to the bathroom and the keyboard receives all commands easily. However one Closes both doors so come by 2x getippen "a" only one on. So if the need has blind must post the loo from novels to do with the doors open.
For everyday use, the range is, however, more than adequate and not objectionable.

CONCLUSION:
In summary, I am so very pleased with this keyboard and regret buying any second! The keyboard convinced me almost completely in all respects. A bit annoying I find the selected piano lacquer surface is still littered with Fingerbadrücken quickly (at a keyboard actually predictable), the included cleaning cloth because I understand more than an ironic joke or to put it positively, "good will" on the part of Logitech's: D
The keyboard for slightly larger hands might be unsuitable as much for me.
I definitely still recognize a slight improvement, I give the keyboard 4 stars with a clear buy recommendation.

This review is of course be seen in the ratio. Of course, this keyboard can not be compared with a vcllwertigen gamer keyboard. But on this segment it is also not at all aligned. In its segment, for "normal" / "everyday" use it plays in my opinion, relatively far up with. Nevertheless, I also play with this keyboard and perhaps not my highest it satisfies thereby fully !. The unique feature of the energy supply by radiation energy.

SUPPLEMENTARY 15/08/2011:

On 7.8.2011, the keyboard worked only sporadically, some time before it seemed to me subjectively as if the keyboard is no longer vernümpftig load. At least the battery level went down to 91%, although it is always open in a room with 3 windows where the sun always shines purely good. on 8.8.2011 refused the keyboard entirely their service, they could be (physically) not turn on when actuating the circuit closer normally flashes a green or red light, depending on how the current light is. This confirmation when you turn never came. No recognition on PC and no response when typing.

Amazon is the Exchange, as has always, absolutely vorbildich. Presumably I get a new keyboard on 18.8.2011 sent (so late because there was none in stock).

I now times go very strongly believes that the fast break the keyboard a "case by case" was and I have a "mon product" caught ... We'll see how long hold out the second keyboard :)

My obrige rating remains unchanged, still buy recommendation super product, if it works - what should be the rule;)

Should it come again to problems of course I write a postscript!

ADDENDUM # 2 29.8.2011:

So ... I have now since about 1.5 weeks, my spare keyboard. As far as everything super, at least the first few days. Unfortunately loses this keyboard! Extreme! rapidly battery capacity and loads very slowly. While the first model was almost never below 95% already after 1.5 weeks down to about 35%, the replacement keyboard. Then I was the keyboard while I work leave on a windowsill with direct solar radiation, about 9 hours on the windowsill, it brought the keyboard only to about 56%. After 2-3 hours of use, the battery has now fallen back to 35%.

Very angry and very sad. It almost seems as if the keyboard is very error-prone and immature. I'll (Up to Return Period of the exchange instance) let the keyboard for a week as much sun as I can get and hope they still get the curve.

Except for the error, which are very annoying but I think the key fact for exactly what I was looking for ...
Let's hope for the best. Should I need to send the keyboard back I'll still buy me a third time and then hope that everything works. If this is not the case, I'll have to reduce the points of rating well ... So then until Addendum # 3 ...
