This pilot is quite big, about 15 cm in diameter. Powered by 4 AA / LR6 batteries.
One can ask through his feet but also hang from the bars the crib with a strap on the back, adjustable width of 2 bar using a buttonhole system.

Mode of operation: there are 3 buttons.
1) A rotary volume of the sound that acts as on / off button. A beep and a red light indicates startup or shutdown.
2) A three position slider:
- Light only
- Light + Music
- Music only
3) The "Select" button to start up the music if the cursor is on Light + music or music to change the melody (3 different music available). In fact at each change of cursor position, you must press the Select button for the change to take effect.

The light is soft and regularly changing color; The music is original and very pleasant. They pass successively from one to another, the selection just determine by which it starts. After several melodies (at least 5-6), the music stops.

An automatic re-ignition function is always activated: it allows the pilot to restart automatically (last selected function) if the baby cries or screams in principle for the duration of a melody. But after a few tests, it restarts for several melodies ...
The microphone is located at the bottom of the pilot. I was afraid that it will turn on at the slightest noise outside, but the sensitivity threshold is high enough. The trigger is actually if we proclaim before (baby is not yet born, it was a test shouting ourselves !!). It also restarts if you move the bumps and it lightly, so see for relights nuisance!
