While there are other viable alternatives for Edifier Bric Connect (such as the "Bose SoundLink Mini"), but these alternatives are usually way overpriced (for the same money you could almost really good compact speaker get).
When Edifier Bric Connect, however, that true value for money !!!
The sound of the Edifier Bric Connect I would describe as fairly balanced.
When hearing test nothing had overemphasized, so that probably only a few minor variations in frequency response are likely to be present.
This device is a bit larger and heavier than for example a Bose SoundLink Mini, but that's a good thing, because the physics can be nunmal not outwit - to produce lower tones need it now times a certain minimum in case volume and membrane area.
Many small (er) BT speakers try the relatively weak bass (which, inter alia, from the results for small packages) "hide", with a thickened midrange or excessive upper bass. From such an (annoying in the long run) sound tuning you stay at Edifier largely spared, whereby the sound even after prolonged use is not annoying.
Particularly well done, I find playing voices (as it is known from good broadband LS).
The stereo effect may be in short Hörabstanden guess at least once, which is even smaller than many devices've been better (for a full-blown stereo effect you would need just but two separate LS-housing).
I noticed that you can hear sound differences depending on the source device connected.
So this sounds speaker for example on my Samsung Note 8 Tablet audibly better than for example on my Samsung Galaxy S2 mobile phone (despite identical settings).
It may therefore worthwhile to test his sometimes different source devices!
In other Rezesionen is criticized that the Edifier Bric Connect would not be loud enough.
This I can not understand the reason, as long as the source device delivers the full level (one should not make the mistake and forgot to level rev the source device maintenance).
An even higher volume (despite fully up source device) can be obtained from a device of this size simply can not expect (my personal expectations regarding the maximum achievable volume were even slightly exceeded).
The competitors product "Bose SoundLink Mini" I have also listened to (not in direct comparison, but very quickly and with the same source device and the same music).
The Bose SoundLink Mini looks comparatively in the midrange a little less clear and also in the high range more subdued.
For the Bose speaker has a built-in quasi "Loudness" in the frequency response, because somewhere around an estimated 200 to 300 heart a strong hump in the response must be well.
The Bose SoundLink Mini may well liked better by this "built-in loudness" at very low levels. But as soon as the level is a little bit loud, I feel this hump in the frequency response of the Bose SoundLink Mini but rather as very disturbing.
Broadly me the more balanced sound of the Edifier Bric Connect has then but better promised (and the savings compared to the Bose SoundLink Mini made the decision even easier in addition).
Of course, one must not expect sonic miracle due to the (still reasonably compact) dimensions, which is why I would like to draw no comparisons with a really good stereo system here - yet it is likely very difficult to find something better in this price range!
At home, I give my unequivocal stand speakers of Nubert preference, however, the Edifier met my expectations for the outdoor public address in the garden and on the go really surprisingly good.
That an RCU with this is I think really awesome, as this increases the ease of use considerably!
Although determined minor improvements were still possible, I forgive anyway 5 stars (taking into account the size and value for money is almost nothing left to me).
Because I want to use the device mostly out in the open, I decided for the color white, so that the device is not so much heats sunlight.
Conclusion:
1.) Who the Bose SoundLink Mini is too small and too expensive, I would recommend the Edifier Bric Connect.
2.) Who the Edifier Bric Connect is too low and too high, which I would recommend the Bose SoundLink Mini.
3.) If a mobile use is required, rather resort to a good hi-fi system (eg Nubert Nupro).
