I myself have this camera mounted on an older 8 tons excavators and must say that it was worth it. The 120 ° viewing angles are sufficient to time to see if anyone is behind the excavator or running just behind the excavator. While there are occasionally small interference or artifacts but these are only max. 1 seconds to see. I have the camera via radio to the excavator mounted since you do not have direct access to the driver's cab (only through the rotary union). The camera is located directly above the engine and the tailpipe of the exhaust. However, one sees zero vibrations, which was only my Beführchtung. TOP!
Also not seen any interfering foreign images!
Assembly was a little tricky because the tailpipe produces high temperatures and I had to put the camera directly to the battery to continuous current. But the cable is not extended so the transmitter gets too hot and sealed the cable leading from the camera at the tailpipe past with heat-resistant silicone.
The assembly of the LCD monitor was quite simple, easy to find and PLUS mass taken from the fuse box or a fuse which only supplies power when the ignition key is turned around again. Thus, the LCD only receives power and is fixed to when the excavator itself is turned on. The LCD itself, we have mounted on the sun visor, easy to wire and thus it is variable, can be adjusted to the field of view or be positioned under the ceiling in the cabin.
The only drawback was that the cable (red - plus u sw -. Minus) are too short and you have to extend this by an extra cable. But you get in any hardware store extra car cable (10m) with a heat insulation which are typical for cars. In a pinch, it also does a speaker cable because you here has only 12 volts.
I would recommend the camera only further and at a mobile home or other large machinery performs the camera a very good service!
PS: On the first day the glass of the camera misted but on the LCD you could not see and now is also from condensation nothing more to see, the camera works just fine!
>>> Addendum:
Unfortunately, the monitor broke down after a few months and had to be replaced. However positive that the company is very accommodating and has sent a new monitor at no extra cost, of course! * Thumbs up *
But I prefer a ZIP code as the monitor obviously absolutely not protected from temperature fluctuations and moisture.
