A very good view of the whole and the chain of scientific advances in the final was in the field. We discover the way some unexpected anecdotes!
We also like to have a good overview of what is quantum physics in terms of metaphysics.
And what a pleasure to discover the hidden men behind the great names of physics: those with little practiced science recognize well-known names, which is finally ready a life, a history, friendships, failures, conflicts, problems personal influence from their work. It is also surprising to see all these big names actually rubbed regularly when their current formulas learned seem unrelated to each other, and in any event devoid of any context.
Minor drawbacks:
- As often in this kind of work, to want too popularize it actually complicates the matter. I do not know why "popularize" should necessarily be synonymous with "no equation." For the black body radiation, for example, the equations are very simple and could be understood with a level of 1st class ... yet not a trace, and instead of a simple, visual formula, one has long sentences that describe awkwardly equation ... a ride on Wikipedia and everything becomes clear!
- The notes are grouped end of the book, therefore impractical to consult. Most of the notes are simple references ... so we quickly cease to consult, and then we can miss some (rare) some additional explanatory notes or anecdotes ... it's a shame!
