Unfortunately, the book is based on the current edition of an older version of the Zend Framework and it is therefore sometimes figure out how it is now in the current version. Especially the introduction of Zend_Application has changed quite a bit here. However, this is just a constant evolution of the Zend Framework and can not be attributed to the authors to load.
Nevertheless, the book gives a very good insight into the work with the Zend Framework. Through many examples, the reader can understand each step. Therefore, 5 points.
