Very good camera, camcorder poor

I pass directly from a compact camera to a DSLR (I have always a silver Nikon brand but also dating from 1975), so I do not pretend to completely master in a few hours all the possibilities of this with all Pentax its options.

For the K-S2, the manufacturer has adopted a LCD screen on ball, and integrated WiFi. It is not easy to adjust and the user manual does not help you, then I have every facility to transfer my photos with the Samsung DV150F WIFI, small compact device that easily connects to my server. This is an area for improvement for Pentax.

Its LCD screen 3 "(7.6 cm) with 921,000 dots allows the ball to be protected when it is not in use by turning it against the back of the unit.

Also if you use the screen in case of high brightness, gene for the vision is minimal, and can always use the optical viewfinder very well designed.

The screen is not touch, but it is reinforced glass, which makes it well resistant in my opinion. The entire device is also a tropicalised and can withstand not too heavy rain without damage. It is the same with the 18-50 zoom m / m.

I got some great photos with the CMOS 20 megapixel sensor stabilized and the maximum shutter to 1/6000 s.

The K-S2 has a sensitivity range from 100 to 51,200 ISO (the latter is of little use in my case) and a roof prism covering 100% of the field with magnification 0,95x (either 0,64x in 24x36 equivalent).

Like many devices of this type we can use the burst mode, and in this case it is very easy to get photos of moving subjects such as sports.

With its optical, all weighs about 800 g. The small size of the device makes it very easy to handle, and the weight is frankly not a problem.

I close by cons to this unit, this is the video game. It has an option Full HD. Very good. But if you use the video, the optical viewfinder is disengaged. And we can only use the very good screen as I said. But I wish that Pentax does not remove the optical viewfinder in this mode of use, the screen is still not a panacea.
And especially the films I have made tests have shown that the focus when using the zoom is very difficult. It seemed to me that the sensor panicked and stabilized only after 20 to 30 seconds. Annoying when you have to shoot on the spot!
The battery supplied with the camera (1050 Mah) allows you to take pictures of 200 to 300 pixels 20 million according to the conditions. I advise buying spare batteries. A charger is also supplied with the unit.
In conclusion, this is a very good camera photos, but only to use the video for that if needed troubleshooting and keeping it on a fixed focus .. It will not replace a camcorder.
Ultimately, the buyer will have a nice little space craft and giving splendid pictures.
