Very good choice, very good image quality, reduced autonomy

I had no trouble APN, in addition to a reflex I was looking for a long zoom compact, I found:
very good image quality, even without flash indoors, highly effective video stabilization, canon option and comprehensive real manual mode (with a real shutter iris, not a filter like the Panasonic TZ or sony HxV). I have a S90 and I am not lost nor disappointed.

For negative point
-autonomy very low (the last level starts blinking more early and gives the impression that the device will stop quickly, a timer or percentage would be more appropriate (I await the CHDK).
-Screen 16/9 aberrant, photo, so in 4/3 we are left with a miniature screen, you'd think back five years ago, the screen is very good for that matter.
-video very good but not shot while filming and no low light mode (for shooting in very dark environment even my nokia N8 does).
-not drawing on the steering wheel: it always seeks what it is
panorama mode -not a shoot
-mode burst below the competition

However very positive because the device is doing very well, very compact, efficient and long zoom.
