With a design with historical colors of the brand, the SC1 is distinguished by its compact and lightweight port.
Meeting the new standards (IEC 2015), Kärcher has increased the security on the device. The tank of water is impossible to open it as long as he has the pressure and the steam flow stops automatically when the user loose the main trigger. Finally, a child safety comes complete arsenal of security appliance.
Ergonomics, several positive points should be noted: a lightweight 1.5kg (without full tank nozzle) and quick and easy accessory changes (many). Also if the device remains generally very handy, it remains difficult to handle in small spaces (tanks deviate for example) with the standard accessories.
Finally, we appreciate the many accessories provided (floor nozzle, tubes and mop, pencil nozzle jet and round brush, hand nozzle windscreen) and the storage bag. Both accessories have made the full SC1: hose and squeegee for windows (at the purchase).

With a pressure of 3 bar and a 250ml tank, the SC1 caters primarily to the cleaning of the studio or small apartments. The autonomy low (to save weight) makes lentretient consuming vast land. For the latter, it will turn to another brand model (SC2, SC3, SC4 and SC5).
For specific cleaning (seals, valves contours) SC1 turns out to be the perfect companion with the benefits outlined above and 3 bars of adequate pressure. In our tests, glue traces, stubborn limescale around DEVIERS and valves are parts easily. The worktops are cleaned very quickly. Good performance.
Finally, we regret the time to 3 minutes heating, even if he is more efficient electricity. This time can however be reduced considerably with the use of hot water.

On, reliable and efficient, the SC1 is a very good device to know its limits den requirement (heating time) and uses (for small apartments or for precision use). We regret the absence of some accessories (flexible squeegee) that may increase the price of the investment.
