After multiple tests and other research on the web, my choice fell on the Sony.
And yet I am not very pro Sony, especially because of their proprietary format memory card and other small pingreries the like.
Obviously I have long looked at the Panasonic TZ20, because given the price difference between the two it is better not to make mistakes.
Finally I was able to see firsthand the comparison, especially in low light, and the difference is obvious, to the benefit of Sony.
After the gadget of the GPS chip is frankly somewhat usable, and power hungry.
Usually we know what is photography, especially with the monument behind ...
The Bundle at the opening of the box:
- The camera
- A charging cable and PC connection (USB)
- A mains charger
- A CD / Manual
- A very thick manual but does not describe much
- Publication for Sony accessories
- A battery
This is the downside of Sony, they are stingy accessories ...
... All this to sell us (overpriced) theirs.
It lacks a separate battery charger from the device, I explain:
We must connect the unit with the battery in it for it to load.
Result:
1 - Can not buy another battery without a separate charger, otherwise what's the point to walk with the NPC, if the other battery fails to charge in the meantime?
2 - The risk of "shooter" recharging the camera because the cable dragged on the ground ...
The manual on CD-ROM, frankly it's a bit pathetic ...
... Moreover 64bit versions of XP are not supported and premium vista ...
I do not even talk about Linux course ...
Positive, it comes with a video processor in HD.
Because the machine's videos are ".MTS" and therefore are not as readable.
You can easily find on the web small software (royalty free) to read them, without installing a codec battery.
Where is the connection cable for the TV? It's not complicated there has not ...
Saw "plenty" of accessories supplied by Sony, I had to invest in:
- Fast memory card (inevitably) 16 ° G
- A jacket
- A charger with battery
- A video cable mini-HDMI / HDMI (which you can find on Amazon for a price from more modest ...)
Considering the price of the unit, I creak a little teeth ...
After reviewing the accessories, the camera itself:
*** *** Using the HX9V
It is quite heavy (at least 250 grams)
Well built and finished in good general shape
The screen is large and excellent resolution with wide viewing angles.
One can easily put itself above to take a snapshot and still see the screen.
The buttons fall easily to hand.
The only flaws: Video capture and the on / off (too small buttons)
Nothing but on a compact vector of operation.
The wheel selections at the top allows a wide range of configurations, including:
-The Video in Full HD mode scenes, auto mode, auto mode "i" (which smooth and mastery photos, landscape mode, 3D mode (not tested), the manual mode, the panning mode, the Photo classic fashion, the recording mode preferences configurations ...
Besides the different settings as possible with the menu button.
The timer allows to select at least four different time modes ...
There is also a burst mode next screen.
In practice this is not always obvious at first, especially when you're used to Panasonic. Nothing dramatic but you get done quickly.
Only the long expo is not obvious to master at first, like the focal length setting ...
Of all the pictures I have taken already, outside and inside, they are all impeccable.
Even with the maximum zoom, thanks to its optical stabilizer photos remain sharp.
The panorama mode is interesting and easy to use, it was 180 ° photo of a block!
For those who do not know too use a camera Auto mode "i" is ideal.
The unit manages everything, flash, brightness, stabilizer etc.
What is a shame is the ergonomics menus, not always easy to grasp.
The zoom is impressive, especially in a little box like that.
The Flash ... What idea do so by "pop-up" just under the left finger?!, Not practical, a habit more to take to avoid blocking the ...
I'll spare you the many gadgets, such as detection of "smile" etc.
At start, it puts a little more time than a compact (without zoom) current, but nothing dramatic and largely at the high end compact with zoom.
In all cases what sony is of excellent quality, allows many photo opportunities, with powerful zoom, Full HD video and an amazing sensitivity in low lighting.
Only regret stinginess sony on accessories.
Where the 4 stars (5 to the qualities of the device, 3 or 2 for accessories)
To be taken without hesitation for those who make pictures amateur / family who can take a walk (small) in the world of SLR (for zooming and setting options).

Addendum to my previous comment - 20-11-11
After a little more intensive use what emerges here ...
For video it is simply amazing.
We can forget the camcorder, even in HD ...
It has such a resolution that exceeds that of blu-ray.
Besides, it is unnecessary to use the maximum resolution because it can not burn a Blu-ray format, which limits its viewing on a computer (for once mighty otherwise it jerky)
The video format is slightly owner, and therefore requires a specific software to transcribe on a DVD or Blu-Ray.
But for once Sony CD contains precisely what it takes.
Well, as usual it is not intended for beginners.
A technology when we forget to focus only on the action?
The video is used with the zoom and joy fills the anti-shake system can not have too much seasick.
Furthermore one can draw a picture of the video screen ° 3M pixel which is very respectable.
Night shots are rendered very good, even without flash or long expo.
The base opening is very good and gives the impressive power zoom.
Again the GPS module is absolutely worthless, it takes forever to work (when he wants to) and reduces battery life.
Last, the price of the device has fallen sharply, it now becomes very interesting ...
So much for the small changes in my previous comment.
